I was disappointed that the producers chose to do 'Movie Night' in week three when even the lead contenders are still a bit rough around the edges.

Hasn't it typically been much later in the series historically? It has provided some of the best moments e.g. Tom's 'Singin' in the Rain' etc.

Fell flat overall for me.

Very surprised that Simon was in the dance off but he got through as expected on the judges vote. I think Tim is going to be the "John Sargent" comedy factor in this series and probably stay in when better dancers are left in the dance off. The voting public seem to like a bad dancer with comedic potential. Still think the finalists will be Pixie Lott and Frankie Bridge but picking a third contestant is difficult. None of the male dancers seem to be outstanding and wouldn't be surprised to see an all female final. Possibly Caroline Flack as the other finalist just on what I've seen so far.

Seriously? Jake's first dance was pretty amazing and his effort last night wasn't bad either.

He is the best of the males so far I would agree but I don't think he is as good as some of the male dancers they have had on previous series however it is relatively early in the series and someone could improve considerably.

I think those are seen as the trained celebrities will find themselves down the voting order once the chaff has been dispensed with.

It'll be annoying when someone like Jake is pit against Pixie as we can be sure how it'll go

I was watching something with Len Goodman on (before Strictly started this series) and he said that the way pop stars are taught to dance and the style of their pop routines (if there is dancing) is totally different to how Ball Room dancing is trained.

Which is kind of right, most pop routines are on the spot, a bit of side to side, not being made to move forwards with intricate foot steps & moves.

The only up side a singer may have is a better ear for rhythm and the music, but then a lot of folk have a good ear and rhythm without being singers. Just the same as the actors, they have a slightly better chance of pulling off the acting and telling the story side of a dance than say a sports person.

Watching it a bit delayed. Frankie Bridge was good and looked amazing, her dress was a brilliant choice!

Does Bruno ever give a score that isn't the same as Len's?

Does Scott actually bother going to rehearsals? What a lemon.

Len put his finger on it - Scott really does look like he's doing exactly what he's been taught to with no flair or interpretation.

He really can't dance, bless him.

Alison and Scott complete car crashes, Alison's scores ridiculous!
Disagree on Alison. She looks quite light on her feet, all things considered, and unlike Scott, her face doesn't have the expression of somebody who's just followed through etched on it.

Just shows that I know nothing about dancing - I found Caroline's dance rather uninspiring. But the judges appeared to love it.

I voted for Ms. Flack. You know why.

Also for Tim, that's just to keep Natalie on screen obvs.
