Was Kevin just dancing with his sister just then?

Awkward.

Scott has to be in the dance off. The public might not agree though.

The lyric "The world has gone mad today" in 'Anything Goes' has never been so apt as with Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett duetting.

How very random.

Have to say that while random that was better than I expected it to be. She was a bit "Shouty" but considering he's 88 he can still sing! Certainly better than some of the dross they get on that slot.

Scott's Radio 1 listeners get him through again.

Much as Tim makes my skin crawl, I think the wrong person is in the dance off.

Edit: Although it crawls less than it used to - I've warmed to him somewhat.

Not that random - they have released an album together.

As much as I like Mark and Karens dance I felt there was not enough foxtrot steps in it.
Scott should have been in the dance off definatly.

I've just watched the Saturday show - is it me or did Jake trip and the judges didn't mention it at all?

I think one of them did.
Nice words from Tim.

I agree. He went up in my estimation rather a lot, I have to say.

I just don't "get" why Scott Mills is popular.
Because he's a Radio 1 DJ and a lot of people like his show and find him amusing. Those people evidently vote for him.

And that is what's wrong with the show, nothing to do with dancing

So you're saying he's popular because he's popular. Right, thanks.
No. I'm saying that the reason he is popular on Strictly (in the sense that the public keep voting him through) is because he has a large fan base due to being a popular Radio 1 DJ.

But I'm sure you knew that's what I meant; you just chose to be obtuse.

Edit: Or perhaps I misunderstood the question.

I'm asking why is he popular on radio 1? He's 40+, has no rhythm, and doesn't seem at all "sharp" or entertaining when interviewed. Admittedly I don't listen to radio 1, but I've seen his innuendo clips on YouTube and they are infantile.
"and they are infantile" - there's your answer as to why he's popular with Radio One listeners.

Ahh, ok. With you now. I did indeed misunderstand the question.

Well, yes, Innuendo Bingo is pretty infantile but then again it's meant to be and can be amusing sometimes. I don't get to listen to him much thgese days as he's on in the afternoon now, but when he had the Drivetime slot I found him amusing and used to enjoy listening to him. I guess others still do.

The fact that he's still a Radio 1 DJ at his age shows he's doing something right anyway. And anyone who has a loyal fanbase is going to do well on the public vote on Strictly. Especially when they have a strong loyal Twitter (1.2M followers) and Facebook (460k likes) following.

I realise that doesn't really explain why he's popular, but it does sort of explain why the public keep voting him through.
