Smartarse syndrome, I guess.
With the result being the exact opposite of what he intended.

I've not listened for months, the Chris and Alice storyline got to me - what have I missed? Is it worth going back to?

I posted on the thread in the past.

As a R4 listener I hear it very regularly and I am mystified by its appeal. For me, it is akin to a 15min long version of "Thought for the the Day".

Do we reckon the new owners of Grey Gables are the mysterious family that bought Brian and Jennifer's house and that was never spoken of again?

I do.

Could be. What I find odd is that no one in Ambridge seems to ask who exactly the new owners are? Not sure if this is going to be a storyline or not, with a big reveal as to who they are?

So do we think Chelsea's pregnancy is down to Russ? He has form when it comes to students after all.

They’re teasing us with Russ. Twitterdom reckons Josh or Ben at the Rave in July

I did think they were making it a little obvious but then I considered a double bluff, what with his taking her up the station a few weeks back.

I think it’s Russ

But I’ve never heard it being called “taking her up the station”

You may be right, particularly as Lily has said how happy she is with Russ in one of the last episodes which is normally how they feed in these sort of plots.

A few eventful weeks and a moving episode last night.

The writers and the actor who play Ben did a really good job.

And Joy played a blinder…

Agreed.

As I age, I find myself crying at all kinds of mawkish bks, but last night's episode justifiably drew a tear.

Likewise. My son has a close friend who we know well. He had a breakdown and jumped off Clifton suspension bridge. Knowing a young adult with those issues of self worth made the episode hard to listen to.

Either you know or you suspect. Not both.
Fair enough.

I know something which makes me strongly suspect this is a red herring.
Took a while, but yesterday’s departure what what I was referring to in these posts.

Regrettably she is now unable to act for medical reasons.
