Harry didn't want the faff of the ancillary modification required - as he stated, new injectors etc and other gubbins.
Smart move - very rarely is a modded car better than the original, just different and with a car like that, the original spec is fine. Fix the bits which are broken - not the bits that aren't.

Has anyone seen Jeremy Clarkson trying to rip off / copy “Harry’s Farm” he now has a channel “Clarksons Farm”

Harry looking forward to that in-depth analysis of types of farming it’s assumed impact on ecology vs factual based upon the soil samples.

I think Clarkson may have started filming his Amazon series (not a YT channel) before Harry started his Farm channel. If you look in one of Harrys videos when he's at a farm sale you can see him chatting to Clarkson who's got the Amazon cameras with him. Clarkson's series been Covid delayed.

But it's not a YT channel, it's an Amazon Prime show for which there is a trailer;

I think they're going to be very different prospects;
Clarkson's one will be a lot of incompetence/farcical scenes, fake drama and jokey sketches (think latter series' of Top Gear)

Clarkson does Clarkson and Harry does Harry, they're both engaging but in different ways.

Having grown up on a farm I can appreciate the serious side, which Harry shows extremely well but I also appreciate the arsing about, for which we have Clarkson smile

I don't think there is any 'rivalry' between Harry and Jeremy...

However, what's the source for Clarkson's Farm being pure daftness? He has done some very good, very serious stuff before.

You need to watch the trailer, it made me laugh! It's more hapless than staged and after all he is trying to run it as a business from what I gather, farm shop, etc.

Given Harry lent Jezza / TGT / Amazon his Countach for one of the shows, I'm pretty sure there is not any rivalry other than good humoured joshing at most.

Clarkson also lent Harry his Alfa GTV to review, though Harry said he'd borrowed it from a farmer friend. So yes I think you're right in that.

laugh

They're not even remotely similar.

You might as well say Harry rips off Top Gear with his YouTube channel, they're not remotely similar.

Because you're stating the bleedin' obvious.

It'd be quite fun having Harry visit Clarkson for an episode, but from the trailer they've already got the "actual farmer exasperated at his nonsense" angle covered...

The bike videos have been fantastic so far. Watching Harry holding the back out on a bike is wonderful. Looking forward to some more in the future!

I would think that 'Clarksons Farm' will mostly be a documentary on tax management using farm land, pensions wrappers and running a retail outlet at a loss while stocking it via a Lux based procurement operation. A sort of 'how to' guide for budding Bamfords, interspersed with accident cattle fistings? wink

I suspect it'll be perfectly enjoyable for different reasons to Harry's content?

JC's Farming Series is going to be ace and I can't wait to watch it.

There is less than zero rivalry between us, let's face it he's a master at what he does and I can only think it's going to a positive thing for all UK farmers seeing how tricky it has been for JC battling nature, climate weirdness and the whims of Politicians, while simply trying to manage the land and produce a saleable crop at the end of the growing season.

He started filming this back in 2019, so it's been a long time coming..
