Has anyone seen Jeremy Clarkson trying to rip off / copy “Harry’s Farm” he now has a channel “Clarksons Farm”
I think they're going to be very different prospects;
Clarkson's one will be a lot of incompetence/farcical scenes, fake drama and jokey sketches (think latter series' of Top Gear)
And you're surprised at that?
No. Why do you ask?
Because you're stating the bleedin' obvious.
Are you for real?
The chap above my comment said it was a "rip off / copy". I was saying, on the contrary, the two were likely to be very different.

Similar scenario:
First poster: 2 + 2 = 5
Me: Actually, 2 + 2 = 4
You: "You're stating the bleedin' obvious" hehe

The bike videos have been fantastic so far. Watching Harry holding the back out on a bike is wonderful. Looking forward to some more in the future!
I'm enjoying them as well, a category of bikes I didn't really know anything about.

Harry looking forward to that in-depth analysis of types of farming it’s assumed impact on ecology vs factual based upon the soil samples.
But it's not a YT channel, it's an Amazon Prime show for which there is a trailer;

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USzFmRbRQGQ
JC's Farming Series is going to be ace and I can't wait to watch it.

There is less than zero rivalry between us, let's face it he's a master at what he does and I can only think it's going to a positive thing for all UK farmers seeing how tricky it has been for JC battling nature, climate weirdness and the whims of Politicians, while simply trying to manage the land and produce a saleable crop at the end of the growing season.

He started filming this back in 2019, so it's been a long time coming..
Agreed on the benefits of raising farming and its issues in the public's consciousness!

I wonder if he has managed to persuade Amazon to call it 'Clarkson bought the farm' or whatever it was? biggrin

Should be called (or have as strapline) "Farming, it's just fields, how hard can it be?" biggrin

That's probably a major thing - people who wouldn't normally watch a show about farming will watch it because it's Clarkson, hopefully getting a good impression of the sector.

Really enjoying these videos, especially the classics and the eighties and nineties content, but there’s good insight in all of them

I’m a bit behind but have just watched the GR Yaris video and a few things spring to mind. It’s lightweight, manual, has a proper handbrake and seems to be great fun. A modern car that quite appeals to me with similar credentials, although not in the same league regarding performance and dynamics, is the Up! Gti. It’s lighter than the Yaris, and back to basics in many ways. It could be said to be slow, but no slower than some of the older cars that seem to bring pleasure. Is it engaging enough though?

How about a review of the little Up! Gti? It would be very interesting to hear opinions on the driving experience compared to some far more exotic machinery!

Keep up the excellent work!

Agreed. Harry seems to be from just the right era to appreciate and understand these cars. I love his long tours in his cars.

Hello Hazza,

I read this article on the proposal on the UK govt paying older farmers to retire. I'm hoping that you might give us your thoughts on the article either on here (coz we're special innit) or even better on an upcoming video?

Any chance of Harry giving us his post-event thoughts on the Silverstone Auction - perhaps in a little video?

Only watched the bikes going through so far and have to say there finally appears to be some common sense being exercised in relation to values.

I just do not see that sort of value in them and I remember dreaming about the 22B when it was launched.

The U.K. cars in particular are such a rarity - find another in such condition.

Overall the 22B has gained a position, as with the Tommy Mak. Evo VI, as the pinnacle of that special era.

It’s the Gran Turismo era version of something like the Ferrari 250 GTO - that age group have come of age/money and want their ‘poster car’.

I’d imagine the pending ability to import them onto the USA is also a factor - much like what has driven Skyline prices so high.

Just seen the Cerbera review, don't think I've seen Harry as excited about a car yet.

Harry thank you for today’s video.

Love this car I had that & a F40 and Pamala poster when growing up.

The shape
The noise
The interior
The performance
The fact that this came out in 1995 (?) and even now it show stopping.
The fact that the Golf R is more than this and dull dull dull vs this you could see how engaged Harry was driving it a proper car and a workable car.

Personally I love the Phase 1 headlights over the Tuscan and the original alloys.

Tuscan another dream car - fell in love with it from Swordfish movie and someone in Sonning had a lovely blue one which I’d pass every day.

When Harry went quiet, it reminded me of the Fast Lane audio cassette tape when they were "reviewing" the F40. It went something like; blah blah blah, okay, let's give it some beans now... blah (whooshy turbo chattery engine sounds) (more engine sounds) (repeat).. sorry about.. (more engine sounds).. sorry about the lack of commentary (etc). Which told you more about the car than any verbal commentary.

Would I have a Cerbera AJP V8? Nope. Always loved the styling, the cabin's American chopped hotrod look, the bonkers yet fantastic instruments. But the flat-plane crank sound just didn't float my boat. To me, flat-planes need to be a bit of a screamer to sound their best, and at low rotational speeds the cross-plane sounds better, and would have matched the hotrod look. Boy, do I miss cars like this though. Good to see it is in the hands of someone who appreciates engineering and isn't afraid to do what is needed.

I’d agree with all of that except being able to import them into the USA. Maybe there might be one or two collectors but I don’t think it’s a car or brand that has a big following over there for its motorsport involvement.

It’s one of those special cars that a collector would buy who might not buy anything else like it.....it could easily sit aside some very special and more expensive cars in a collection.

Agree, it sounded pretty lacklustre to me. 400hp V8 ought to sound like one.

I really like the angryness of them at very high revs though. cloud9

Although sound wise overall I did prefer the E53 X5 4.8iS that I had, and that had a more traditional American V8 noise to it I thought.

I certainly miss my Cerbera 4.5 big time though, but I'm chuffed that I got to spend 6 years with one though for sure(warts and all).

Isn’t the AJP 4.2 the “racier” out of the 4.2/4.5/4.5 Red rose?
