That 911 is super special, and running beautifully - very enjoyable update smile

Not sure about 60bhp transmission losses, but a great RR result anyway.

The "tuner" lads seem to be making Litchfield quite wealthy.

I was surprised to see Harry's admiration for the sewer-pipe exhaust.

It's a hugely impressive place, deep pockets required for some of that work I reckon.

I like the double-win of the higher spec with extra horses and the unexpectedly more generous MPG return! I did chortle Harry, calling yourself out for being a plonker. We agree! rofl

I’m Harry’s defence it does say “KM” immediately above the milometer. Harry I have to ask though, does that mean it has far more miles on the car than you were expecting/aware of?

If I am honest I was confused by what Harry was saying, is it the miles in MPH but the speedo is KMH?

Seems strange to have that fitted.

I think Harry is saying the odometer is in miles and the speed in kilometres.

I don't see how it works though. The same sender unit will operate both the speedo and the odo. Someone has gone to a lot of pointless trouble to make it how it is. Could it be something more obvious like a change in gearbox or final drive ratios which are messing it up.

Or has someone stuck a metric face on an imperial dial?

It should be easy to check both speed and distance with a sat nav.

In hindsight I don't think it would have been possible to average 11mpg driving 'normally' I.e. not flat out on track without being able to see the puddle or pass out from the unburnt hydrocarbons.

I think from what Harry said that the speedo fascia has been changed to display KM, so the car is actually still counting in miles.

Do people actually pay attentkon when they watch these videos? Harry explained it perfectly clearly.

I see the deposit is now £4,000. Wasn't it £2,000 initially? 9,000 orders of £4k is £36m which is a fair chunk of cash.
It is in the real world. In car development world it is like peeing in the ocean. That probably just about covers the testing and paperwork to federalise it.

New farm vid out. Wall looking lovely. The tree planting thing is just mad. I thought all tree planting was saintly?

Whilst out working in Lincolnshire yesterday I passed a couple of guys putting up some steel railing fencing. So immediately thought of Harry’s. However as I got nearer it was clear that the guys were different and a little less fussy about the finished job!

You have to wonder if Harry had just gone and planted the trees anyway, would the authorities (maybe years later) have found out and done anything about it anyway.

The issue is then flipped ‘local authority has trees cut down” news story in this day and age wouldn’t go down well.

i.e. easier to do something and ask forgiveness than to not get permission in first place..

I presume it is more to do with the fact that if you plant them in the ‘right’ place, and sacrifice the ‘right’ type of land, the government gives you money for it all.

Sure you could just pay for your own trees and put them wherever you wanted but you wouldn’t then be compensated for the loss of crop yield in the following years or the cost of the trees.

Seems mad though.

While Clarkson is divisive to many, I can only see him flagging this nonsense up in front of his massive audience as being a good thing for other farmers.

I forget what the specific context was, but recently Clarkson posted on Instagram about a general farm / food / gov related issue and BoJo posted a response to him on his account..

Sounds a bit daft given it's Instagram, but maybe it does some good having someone with such a large reach speaking about..
