Hello darling, just nipping to the club to see the chaps. Don't wait up...
A gentleman's express indeed. Making a better sound than 99% of whatever Ferrari and Porsche seem to have produced recently. For a total cost which is less than a set of Italian kick plates, painted door mirror shells and a couple of other other nonsenseries. Delicious. I feel like I should be wearing a smoking jacket and sat in a chesterfield chair just to watch the video.
Those tyres really hold on surprisingly well around the esses.

Apart from the F40 (which doesn’t belong to Harry) I would take the Jag before any of the other cars in his garage. Maybe it is even better than the F40. I mean you could use the Jag to do anything and go anywhere whereas I’d be worried about how much the F40 is worth and that would restrict what I did in it.
It seems like ridiculously good value compared to many old cars.
Probably only real negative is the fuel consumption. However it probably isn’t losing any value so there is no depreciation to worry about and not losing 15%-20% of value every year, like most new cars, would buy a lot of petrol.
Some friends are going on a trip to the Alps in September (mainly 911s of various ages). I think the big Jag would be a great alternative. Maybe not as fun on the very best driving roads but a whole lot nicer getting there and back and wafting around.
I wonder how difficult it would be to retro fit AC? Probably that only change I would make.

Yes, but it's already worth a lot less than it cost to build.Doofus said:

Yes, but it's already worth a lot less than it cost to build. Also, its got some provenance given who had it built and its now a well known car, I think its definitely up there now, cant really compare it with the average XJ-C, near as dammit a new car in a lot of ways.
