Was that a car completely on the wrong side of the road as Harry was tipping into that bend?
Yep, probably wasn't expecting a Bentley to be coming round the bend the other way at a rate of knots... I think I'd have left that bit out in the edit tbh. What a magnificent thing that Continental is though, especially in that colour.

Think the dashboard has to be the nicest on any new car, love the rotating bit
There was something odd about the camera angle onto the dash though that caused the veneer on that section to look like it didn't match the main section which is almost certainly not the case in reality. It was driving me up the wall during the video. DonkeyApple said:
Bentley is lovely. A very elegant barge. What's amazing is how the cabin bears almost no legacy of the shiny, shiny pure council interior of the previous one. Such an image reversal isn't that common once something goes so down market.
I wouldn't say there's anything 'down market' or council about the interior on our 2016 GTC V8-S.It's an impeccably well built car with a very comfortable interior.

The machine turned fascias can err on the side of bling though.
I live near Rolls Royce, and pass the Bentley dealer in Pulborough frequently. It still staggers me how the same model can either be a headache inducing pile of vomit/cringetastic rapper's delight or wonderfully sublime all through relatively minor changes in spec.

Yes I saw that too! I rewound the clip to take another look - eeek!I had a W12 GTC from new. It was a superb car and I thought, as a Vanquish owner, it was a far better car than Aston could ever build. Not only a serious motorway muncher, but deep attention to detail in the cabin, every knob and switch felt high quality. It was a lovely place to sit and a genuine GT rather than a sports car. I was happy wafting with a bit of 'woof' if I ever needed it.
Crewe's missile.

Bentley seem to be on a bit of a roll at the moment.
They make AM look embarrassing by comparison (IMO)..
You said IMO which is fair enough but to me the Bentley at 2 ¼ tons is a big lump of a car, of zero interest to me. The Aston Martin DBS on the other hand is gorgeous to look at, has a V12 that gets it to 100 in 6.4 seconds and weighs in at just over 1 1⁄2 tons, that's my kind of luxury sports car. They make AM look embarrassing by comparison (IMO)..
I suppose Bentley have the might of Volkswagen behind them which really boosts their market presence.

I have the naked wood dash in the i3, so I'm feeling rather lofty in my tastes thanks to Harry's endorsement!
No 'Roland Rat' style rotating bits on the car, however!
It's only taken Bentley 10 years to catch up with the i3 interior No 'Roland Rat' style rotating bits on the car, however!

That said, the wood finish in them reminded me more of Habitat furniture for bearded ponces whereas the wood in the Bentley was more reminiscent of bespoke shotguns before the likes of H&H had to start blinging the wood up to meet the shiny shiny demands of Russian gangsters and Chinese spies. Prior to that the 18 layers of super shiny varnish was a special order for the discerning and recently successful American sofa magnate.
Either way, it's nice to see satin finish returning. I remember when BMW got heavily into plastic veneer in the mid 90s. I had a lovely 540i that really was a great car but they stuck in super shiny wood stuff was not only ghastly but was stuck where you wouldn't logically ever have wood.
