Great stuff Mr Metcalfe, I enjoyed your videos on evo's channel and even more so as they were a tiny bit rough around the edges. No bs, no bling, just what it's like to live with some lovely toys on a daily basis.

Wonder if there will be any internet connection blame. Doubt it

Ummm, errrrr, he presents like a 70 year I old Shmee150 which is a BAD thing! Just because you're an Ex EVO editor, work for Jaguar Specials Ops and have some nice cars and stacks of cash doesn't make you Jay Leno!....IMO of course!
Couldn't agree less.
I find him a whole lot more authentic (and a lot less smug) than Jay Leno.
Indeed, an attempt at a put down by making a comparison to Jay Leno probably has Harry laughing all the way to his garage. biglaugh

I'm with you. I couldn't give a st if he has loads of money. The fact he, clearly, has a fantastic appreciation of all things cars and the authority he speaks with makes him a good watch in my eyes.
He puts his money where his mouth is when it comes to cars.

Saw this thread, then subscribed in two seconds flat!
Looking forward to the vids, I enjoyed Harry's Evo Diaries more than any other offering on the Evo channel, and many other car channels for that matter!

This is ace. He comes across as sincere, engaging and interesting and it's free to watch too smile
That's what I really like about Harry and his video's. He's clearly a wealthy chap judging by some of the cars he owns / has owned, but comes across as very down to earth and very much a normal sort of guy which makes him easy to relate to and engage with.

And I always like that he seems excited and really enjoys motoring it seems in fun cars, be they expensive OR cheap - the Clio Trophy video for example.

Was a no brainer to subscribe to his new channel and I look forward to seeing what sorts of stuff he puts out!

Great video, and i think the S1 is probably the coolest car in his collection! Totally honest in everything it does!

(and they should have tried the field hill climb in the wet (RRS, fat tyres and wet grass = fail... ;-)

A bit amateurish from a production point of view, but certainly worth watching. I guess the budget is rather limited...

I liked the bit when he was going flat out on the country road. It reminded me of James May going for the speed record in the Veyron Super Sport at the VW test track. Definitely pushing the envelope.

I love it the video is supposedly amateurish. It's incredibly endearing and personal. It was excellent to watch while I was eating my lunch, and am awaiting more with baited breath.

Great start!

Funnily enough, at the junction he drives through in the video, on streetview there is a nice desert storm Land Rover being transported.

He would certainly benefit from a lapel mic if nothing else just so you can hear him clearly without having to ramp the volume right up smile

Fully agree! Vids are really a treat. Just watched the Elan piece again -- mega. Many thanks for these clips and to the OP for the thread.

Subscribed. As others, I enjoyed the EVO diaries and like the presentation, feels quite personal.

Well done and thanks Harry. Looking forward to seeing some of these.
