You dont charge someone unless you already believe you have the evidence

if they believed that then it would have been no further action
All they had was the testimony of the guy who escaped didn't they? All the others were brainwashed into thinking they wanted to be there and I think they made a point of saying they hadn't found anything else as proof?

If their main witness loses his bottle and pulls out then what else do they have against the guy?

(I admit, I wasn't paying attention 100% to the programme).

I bet that copper enjoyed that little blast down the country lane.
I watched that a couple of times - unless the driver could see much further ahead than was shown on screen there was no way that was safe.

I think it's often the way these cam-type cameras do not pick up the lighting after dark.

I thought it was quite obviously sped up and then back to real time at the very end? Or maybe assumed it was sped up is a better turn of phrase.

The investigation policewoman needs a ruler to write her notes in a straight line. Really? Most people stop that when they leave primary school.

He's well muscled up that's for sure. Thought he might have had previous seeing as he has a reputation for being an hothead.

To be fair they're all oirish and clearly weekend fisticuffs is what they do. This one was over the top, but it's not as if any of them would be surprised by the event, maybe just weren't expecting the severity.

If the victim had not had form then I'm sure it would have been a different outcome.

Victim certainly appears to be a bit of a bellend. (I'm not saying he deserved a skull fracture but live by the sword etc)

Lucky to have escaped prison time but even luckier that the victim recovered from sucker punch.

Still a coward though, creeping around the back then wham!!

He kept calling it a fight, it was the complete opposite.

Could not believe the verdict, surely the CCTV was more than conclusive for an average jury member?
