Pretty poor ep all told, apart from showing up how much Police resource gets tied up with a couple of timewasters who should both just grow up!
Yep, pretty much that. Plus it was a set of serious accusations, now wind in the complaints from Shaz that Gaz's ex called her a slag on Facebook. Time wasters.

Reminds me of the thread on SPL where someones mate sent him a pic of his sister doing cam modelling and the family wont let it go so hound the police to at least show they are doing something.
My mates a copper, gets facebook "crime" all the time. Taken over his job. So and so called my mom a slag on facebook can you go and arrest her? No.

Sorry I thought I'd recorded an episode of Jeremy Kyle by mistake.

What a waste of police time!

As already said, seems there's way more that the Police were never told in relation to this story.

How young did that officer look though? (God I'm getting old)

It was the filmed police version of "hey new boy...can you go get us a left handed screw driver".....

Rubbish, everything they showed the guy had a very plausible reason. Opening the gate and hanging around the back of a car....weird....but then.... "i was stroking the dog" ..oh..ok...makes sense.
Also highlighted the bail conditions breech, if someone was out to get you, they could simply approach YOU and then get a picture taken and say it was them who approached you so therefore breech of bail.....
Bloody crap episode with no resolution really.... personally...for me, lady loses husband which is tragic...and she becomes a bit mental.
Loved her old 90 year of father though....

They never did look for evidence on her phone of him calling repeatedly. Looked at his but not hers.

Or even view the CCTV of the incident in the pub which I'm sure there was.

I gave up with last nights, lost interest and couldn’t care less who did what.

A slight criticism of the police, they don't need to attend this sort of crime 2+ at a time, that, and 3 or 4 of them attending a RTA is a waste of police time too. Still, beats tackling violent criminals I guess.

I thought it was a very good episode.

As been said it seemed strange at first. Not your quite a clear cut stalker case which made it engrossing, perhaps not on viewing at first but certainly lingers on my mind at least. Both the stalker and victim seemed on reflection like loonies.

The person who came out of the episode with any credit - surprisingly for someone who usually gets a lot of stick - was the legal rep who was an ex-copper. He seemed to be doing a service to the coppers adamant at charging the stalker where the evidence looked so-so. He could tell if the case would be lucky if it ever go to court.

Need two to arrest, well for transport as its safer for officers. RTCs require a lot more than you think. Even minor ones if roads need to be closed.

To me it looked like there had been a falling out between the guy and the two women. They kept "baiting" him, until he battered one of them while pissed up. He still wanted to gain the affection of the "victim" and went a bit OTT with it, because...well he's the sort of guy who's down the boozer every night. He's not making good decisions is he.

Then once the ladies knew he was supposed to leave them alone, they conveniently stuck the knife in a few more times by turning up at the pub and forcing a situation he was otherwise trying to avoid. Probably did use the "ohh we're not good enough for you now huh" line. Having previously told him to "do one" every time he wanted to chat.

Relatively common female power play mind games, vs a guy who couldn't see they were playing with him and didn't walk away = fustercluck for all involved.

The previous violence was probably a concern.

Also when he went to her house and hugged the dogs - bit odd.

Pretty tame compared to digging up skeletons in back gardens.
Maybe give the producers a call, they could arrange to organise a few more shady murders in a convenient timeframe for the filming of the next series?

They obviously led with the juicy stuff to get people hooked in, but I still found the 'boring' cases interesting to watch. The behind the scenes stuff is just as interesting. It helps they focus on just one case rather than jumping around every 5 minutes between multiple cases.

They were both as sketchy/strange/mental as each other and I thought they'd actually make a good couple!

Both a couple of "kidults" who like drama and chaos in life.

Just a shame it meant wasting thousands on a police investigation.

Still, they both got their sorry arses on TV, so I am sure they're chuffed with that!

With her admittance that she doesn't 'do Blacks, but totally isn't a racist'

My assumption was he thought it was going one way, she pushed back (maybe not too politely and with a pinch of racism) and he reacted badly.

Just my guess though but I reckon she could cause a fight in an empty room

It was an awfully crass comment. You've got to be a bit fking thick to say that on national television.
