I did feel a bit sorry for her, it was obvious what had transpired, but, she didn’t have the mental capacity to just ring the police.

A slight criticism of the police, they don't need to attend this sort of crime 2+ at a time, that, and 3 or 4 of them attending a RTA is a waste of police time too. Still, beats tackling violent criminals I guess.

The best episode, was the very first in series 1, I think it was a conspiracy to murder case!?

More real-life crime drama. A woman's body is found in overgrown grassland. When detectives inform her partner of her death, his behaviour marks him out as the chief suspect.

The one thing the victim needed in her life was control, he must have been perfect for her!

Is it me, or, did the police fail to ask the right questions? Causing this case to be delayed by CPS, and, then taking three trials!

They should have asked him, how many of the fireplaces he owned, the decanter etc.

Instead, they led by saying they'd found the items, allowing him to say, he had more than one.

My 2 peneth(?) on his character... he showed all the narcissism of a typical 'catholic' childhood.

or maybe it is edited slightly to condense 2 or x 1/2 hour interviews into 1 hour of tv covering everything. How do you know they didnt ask the questions?

Also only 2 x trials.
Well, it would have been a key part of the program, plus, if he said he only had one, and they found one, he would have been bang to rights, right from the off.

I thought it was a third court case, that he was found guilty at?

If you are new to it and want to see the program at its best, then IMO the first ever episode (was a murder, with the guy going full no comment, but the police work was great to watch) is the best. A close second is the guy who was being blackmailed over visiting a prostitute which had a wild twist a couple of seasons ago.
I thought I'd seen them all, but, I don't recognize the blackmail one? Jog my memory? smile

I'd agrre, the first ever episode was the best one.
