Now I don’t mind Fags, Mags or Count Arthur. I’ve actually got the first few series of CA on CD. It has worn a bit thin latterly I admit and the TV spin-off wasn’t anything special.
I gave up on the News Quiz and the Now Show years ago though.
News quiz is still just about bearable. The Now Show is just recycled scripts from the 1990s. Terrible one trick ponies.I gave up on the News Quiz and the Now Show years ago though.

The latest series of the News Quiz is being hosted by Nish Kumar. This is not a good thing.
He’s quite.....”loud”....isn’t he?I thought I could stomach it, but seems to verge on the grating side of enjoyable.... but, of course, the format is pretty much unbeatable. Just a fresh/different take on the news with a few jokes about our wonderful leaders, so it’s worth wading through knowing it’s not going to be anything groundbreaking.
Nothing around at the moment seems a shadow of “Cabin”, “Bleak” or the perennial “ISIHAC”.....

Just turned it off. I'm a regular listener to The News Quiz but just find it too shouty at the moment
Some of the laughter, from the panel it sounded, was like a flock of geese being molested and honking furiously. Nish, I think...The good side is that they are trying new presenters every couple of weeks. They did something similar when poor old Humphrey Littleton passed away and they tested a number of "quizmasters" for "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue".
In the end, they settled on Jack Dee - who was and is the perfect Humph replacement.

Can't remember if this is the correct thread, but Will Smith Presents the Tao of Bergerac is back on R4Extra.
This little gem of a series is limited in number, but very funny.
Started off well - but honestly, after 20 minutes I was ready to punch his, and his annoying, whiny voice's lights out. For a start he sounded just like Useless Phil of TTOI and then the topics and gags were about as funny as......This little gem of a series is limited in number, but very funny.
Is it just me? Have I just been cooped up too long?
Tangentially, to this thread - I thought it was funny and incongruous to find John Finnemore (Arthur, Cabin Pressure) as the shuttle pilot on the very funny "Avenue 5" - but for other threadists that's something off the telly box......
Could we not have some more Cabin Pressure ....four people locked up for hours on end having to find ways to amuse themselves has never seemed so funny!

If you think Milton Jones is something to look forward to, you've been locked in your home for too long. He's only marginally more funny than Tim Vine.
You seem to have discounted the fact that my "entertainment" currently consists of reading and posting on Pistonheads. Forget the shock to the stock market turning the clocks back, I'm back to about May 2001 in my Internet Entertainment.
