Yes, it was better than Marian Keyes thing last night too.
I like Marian Keyes. I thouht it was fun, and a bit Sedaris-esque; which is never a bad thing.
Fair enough. I like Sedaris.

I've only heard ep1, but I liked the story about the Irish Embassy and the passport.

Rob Newman's Half-Full Philosophy Hour

Brilliant (probably helps if you liked his previous stuff..)

ALSO!!..If anyone happens to know the theme tune used at the end, please let me know.. I've been whistling it all afternoon.

I had a similar thing with a piece of music they used in their “Secret World” impressions series. They used the music as a bumper between scenes, just a few seconds of it. In the end I managed to Shazam it and the song it came from is now on my Spotify playlist.

I think I'll have to.. annoying though because it's right on the tip of my tongue!

The Lenny Henry Show on R4 has taken me back to the 80s, but not in a good way.

It's not a good show, is it.

I think that's one thing we're all in agreement about.

Back to The Now Show. If ever a programme was past its sell by date, it is this.

Not a new idea since 1997.

The Skewer, presented by Jon Holmes.

Late night on Radio 4. Not sure what night, sure it will be on The BBC website.

Rather good.

Very Blue Jam/Chris Morris-ish, isn't it?

Just caught up with the US election week episode - wasn't expecting great things due to the situation we are in - but that was dire...

Sophie Duker talking about impartiality... honestly had more entertaining conversations with my dentist.

I'm a great fan of 'The Now Show' and have most of the episodes downloaded since it started way back in 199?

Sadly once they 'modernised' a few years ago, got all inclusive, and got rid of Jon Holmes, Mitch Ben and Marcus Brigstocke it's been on a downward spiral.

The first ten/fifteen years were very good. A lot of that stands repeated listening and still make me laugh.
But now I just can't stomach it, and as soon as some minority/diversity tick box individual comes on I have to turn it off.

A lot of shows currently have also been severely hampered by the lack of live audiences at the recordings,
and stay at home presenters trying to recreate the fun atmosphere and failing miserably with lag and delays.

I came to the conclusion Geoff Norcott's section was more successfully impartial than Sophie Duker's.

He mentions being right wing every couple of minutes, though. I thought people didn't like such overtly political stuff?

He did a program about working class people and his family that wasn't bad, but he isn't "working class" in any way now.
