Building up to the last show next week, the way they keep missing the Gold coins in the tree is hilarious, but it looks like
Andy and Lance will find them then Andy gets his dream cottage and Lance gets Toni, and everyone lives happily ever after...
Maybe, but i'm sure there'll be a couple of twists and turns to entertain us......
It's been a proper breath of fresh air, and will be sadly missed.

Best season so far imho.
Wonder what the yanks think of it? It’s very English humour. (Not even Scottish, from where I speak).
Having just come back from living in the US, there are loads of them who love it. Many Americans love British comedy, but this gets rave reviews in US newspapers and I shared this show with a couple of US born friends who think it's amazingWonder what the yanks think of it? I absolutely love the first two series, I watch them in dad often and even have them on in the background just to listen to them, odd I know, I think I mentioned before they seem to chill me out and I feel better for watching them.
I have to admit I am not feeling the same about this third series.
Part of the appeal of the first and to an extent was that not a lot seemed to happen, a bit of detecting, down the pub, at the scout hall, nice scenery etc.
Now it seems to have a specific plot and real character development and it seems to have lost a bit of the charm of the two previous series.
Perhaps I am reading too much of it!

I think it may feel 'faster' because it's all the threads finally coming together so that the story can finally end.
Last night was wonderful and I'm getting my tissues ready for next week!
Yes I think you are right, certainly feels as if they are ready to finish. Can't wait for next week either!Last night was wonderful and I'm getting my tissues ready for next week!
excellent episode. Loved it.
Loved the interchange with Andy and his boss when he was rescuing the 'porcupine'...
"...Richard Attenborough"
"David?" -
"oh been calling you Andy all week...."
One thing I hate - the announcer at the end when the credits are rolling and the theme tunes playing... has to butt in and say something over the top of it all.
Doesn't affect most programs but this has such a gentle and likeable end.

It's incredibly disrespectful to the programme and it's creators and viewers. It's not needed in the digital age. Remember Blackadder?
Some writers take this into account and move dialogue/action into the credits, like Miranda, thus denying the voiceover tts their vile crimes
