BBC are doing a project where they are archiving the radios times, 1923-2009

http://genome.ch.bbc.co.uk

So, late night entertainment for moi, The Rag Trade, Boxing and Come dancing. (Not on BBC 1 either, that did not exist until 1964). Close down 23:15.

Test card I imagine. I was born about 8.15am and they didn't start broadcasting for another hour.

Born just after midnight, therefore it will have been a white dot disappearing into the distance at shutdown after the national anthem.

As I was born in the early hours of the morning in May 1958, there was no TV being broadcast.

Episode 3 of Dr. Who and The Ice Warriors on my birth date! Quite pleased with that. Also The Monkees, Dixon of Dock Green and The Val Doonican show with special guests, The Shadows!
