David was never good enough to progress. He hasn't done a single faultless dish during the whole week.

Ian would've been a far better choice IMO.

Did feel sorry for Ian he nailed the earlier shows and the other guy just made potatao crocket!

Water bath fish and meat I agree doesnt work unless finish with torch or fried!

I love the way they have to have this dramatic 30 second pause before announcing who is going out even when it’s that obvious to everyone.

Yes, seemed an odd decision as Ian seemed more adventurous.

Disappointed for Ian, they must have missed something in the edit.

100% agreed. David was just a one trick pony with Caribbean cooking and not very good at it so it seemed. They picked the wrong guy hugely. That said I think Sean could potentially be the winner he is in a different league so far

He's an impressive young man. Just the right side of confident without going onto the cocky scale, iyswim.

Agreed. I think I have mentioned this before but it seems unfair that a chef is judged on one round alone. Ian had a good skills test, a great signature dish and a great invention test. The other chef was nowhere near Ian in those rounds but was slightly better for the critics. Surely Ian was the better chef but just had one bad round as opposed to 3 bad rounds.
