What's the current trend for burnt tomato? Tried it, and really not a fan!
Not keen on anything burnt tbh.
Bacon. Love it very crispy!

For Mrs Garyhun that's the only way to eat bacon - black and crispy. Not for me!

Crispy, yes.

Burnt, no.

Fine line to perfection.

Danny's dishes sound great, that other bloke always seems to be trying to reinvent the wheel. Sweetcorn doughnuts? Call me a cynic but I think there is probably a reason you don't see sweetcorn doughnuts on the menu of top restaurants, but I would like to be proven wrong. Making his own XO sauce is interesting though.

Another one-sided thrashing. That short guy with the gruff voice just threw everything at his dishes without thought or reason. His comments after his tasting suggested that he hadn't even tasted his food as dishes, only as individual elements and hadn't realised they don't work together. What a disaster.

Aye, but better this than eliminating one of the better cooks and letting a poorer contestant through.

Should make for a better final.

I did think they'd matched them up pretty carefully so that unless the favourite had a disaster and the underdog played a blinder, they'd always be able to justify putting the favourite through.

Tonight's pair are closer, but I think the older chef will win. The young lad has been consistently mediocre apart from one desert he used to save his skin, and I think he has spunked his wad now.

It can't be easy working at that pace in a strange kitchen but, they seem to be doing a fine enough job of it.

How does chef think the lamb would go from 'raw' to ok in 2 minutes? Funny ovens these pros have.
