I particularly liked this episode
My first car was a 1360 Herald in the same colour.
Couldn't believe it when he had a problem with the n/s door catching the rear tub - Mine did exactly the same!
Though my solution was less elegant - a trolley jack under the chassis outrigger whilst I jumped on the rear bumper!!!

Car S.O.S. new series (3) starts next week - the launch to international media, hosted by Fuzz Townshend and his co-presenter Tim Shaw, took place a few days ago. Here's the relevant release:

Pleased that for a change Tim didn't do his usual 'how much discount?' line although TBH it was pretty close in the MG dealership but they never show enough of the fixes for my liking. Don't get me wrong, I like the programme & always watch it but take last nights & the one piston & bottom of the piston housing 'that shouldn't have a gap & that shouldn't have a piece mixing from it but we can overcome that'. Well tell us/show us what you did. I know it was a special for Sir Stirling so probably wanted to show more of the story around it but they hardly showed any of the fixes.
This weeks episode, Thurs. May 7th National Geographic Channel at 8pm, features my R35 GT-R. The renovation is a R33 and in the new series an aspect of the show is looking at a modern day version of the renovated car.
The filming of the R35 was done at Bruntingthorpe last Nov, a very cold, wet and decidedly unglamorous day. Looking forward to see what Tim says about the car as he seemed very impressed at the time.
