Yup. I don't think the episodes are in the same order as on Wikipedia

Virgin media suggest that it's the Ford Bronco, while my listing magazine insists it will be a Maserati Biturbo.

hehe

It was a pile of crap, they should have crushed it and worked on something more interesting.

Enjoyed tonight's show... no painful scripted banter, no stupid gimmicks.

How WD should be IMO: doing up old cars and showing mechanical stuff so you can see how it works.

Good stuff.

Agree with that, what's the bloody fascination with Yank tanks, RX7s, S2000s, Delta Integrales etc. way more interesting. The series they've done from America are way below standard, IMO.

Apart from when MB first turned up with the Bronco at their "workshop" and Ed pretended to throw a strop.

This wasn´t really a rebuild, more just putting a refurbed engine and axles, together with a stload of new parts, in to a fully restored body and frame. 478 man hours PLUS $25k

Not one of their better efforts. I can see why they want to break the American market as I´m sure that´s where the pot of gold is, but I think the Wheeler Dealers that we´ve known and enjoyed for the last ten years has gone unfortunately.

Until last night, I'd never properly seen a set of hub lockers before; that was the most interesting bit for me!

I don't know which series I'm watching currently ,it's "new to Quest".

It's UK based and have so far done an Elise and a Corvette C2, which ironically they shipped from the US.

I don't have Discovery channel.

What exactly did they use from the original car in the end? The engine, the suspension, the axles... that's it isn't it? Body, gearbox, glass, interior, brakes, hub lockers, wheels, tyres etc... were all new or from the donor car.

"This is the most work we have ever done on a car"
It was two cars!
"I remember when this car rolled into the workshop"
That was a different car!

biggrin

Think we may have our wires crossed.
The tosh I saw last night on Duscovery was a new series in USA with a Bronco that turned out to be a scrapper that luckily turned into a minter!

So they paid 8k for a scrapper and then 4k for a mint restored body + chassis that together made 1 vehicle.
That would be called ringing in this country.
