I cancelled my Sky subscription a couple of weeks back. I was offered 25% off my bill but politely declined. I'm currently making use of a fire stick and a free Amazon prime trial.

No doubt I'll get a call from sky in the next week or two to offer me a better deal. I'll see what they say.

After 25+ years of being a sky customer, I'm finally cancelling, this is my last week. I've got BTTV for a tenner a month and an android box.
Had a call last week offering me 35% discount. Going to miss sky F1 but that's about it really and not worth the extra £30 a month.

Put Kodi on your firestick & drop Prime.

Kodi streams aren't always as reliable as having, say, Sky Sports though. When you also factor in the faff of updating it, or some of the channels not working because its been updated...

Subscribe to Sportsmania for £50 a year and its better than Sky Sports as you'll be able to watch EVERY Premier League game. Plus you have the added bonus of not having to watch Jamie Redknapp talk sh** in the match build up.

I only have Exodus and Sportsmania on my box. Never had an issue updating etc. So many guides out there

I still have basic Sky package so I can use Sky + etc.

Except you're giving your payment details to an illegal streaming site..

Actually, you are giving your payment info to Stripe, an independent company also used by other websites to process payments.

Already cancelled mine, I could justify it at half price but not at £77 a month. Have already got an F5 box and will get a subscription off Ebay. The quality of the streams etc. may not be brilliant or always available, but is watching three or four games of football a month really worth £77?

PS. The reason I don't watch more games is due to the fact I have a season ticket myself, so am mostly out on Saturdays.

This sort of thing. I believe it's officially called a 'gift'. Allows you to watch all the channels in SD and boxmania etc.

Unsubscribed a few months back - had the standard 25% off offer straight away, then 40% off, then 60% off - any bundle (including the entire package) for 12 months.

Currently the deal on offer is 50% off plus free Sky+ HD box.

Still not tempted, perfectly happy with my £7.50 a month BT TV deal plus Amazon Prime plus YouTube and my own downloads.

The Kodi box I have gets updated automatically on the various streams, so I dont need to do anything. Sports can be a bit hit and miss but im not fussed in watching games in HD. The films and tv shows are excellent though and well worth it.

I have Kodi on my mini-computer which is permanently connected to the TV. Once you set it up (plenty of Youtube clips for that) then it will update itself. Some can be hit and miss but use the search function and there is always somewhere else to go to on it.
Im out in Afghanistan and can watch live UK TV, Sky Premier football, F1 and all the Sky Movie channels plus all US channels. No brainer really. The issue though is you need good net connection which sometimes I can suffer from but worth it in the end.

I found a reasonable streaming site last season for games on BT and used that through my browser. It was more reliable than finding the same things on Kodi so I gave up with that. I have bought a Fire stick for the other room's TV though so may try again.

Had Sky TV/Phone/Broadband however my TV contract is up at the end of this month, gave them the notice last month and within 7 days they'd called to offer me 50% off. Decided I still wanted to cancel.

This week they've offered me an interesting deal: £17.40 per month for phone line, broadband and keeping the Sky+ functions on my box.

Having looked at what I'd recorded lately it's all been from the "normal" channels which I'd still have so gone for this and will see what happens.

When I looked at my future bills they've worked it by giving me free broadband, discounting the phone line by £10 then adding it back in by charging the £10 for Sky+. I assume this helps their figures to say xxx people use the service!

I use a similar set up.

V8S box £35, £13 for the gift. Great set up, even if the BT HD streams have now been scrambled boxedin

I also have an Android Box which is good for Exodus and a few dodgy football streams.
