eg that voted nation's favourite 21st century sitcom, Mrs Brown's Boys, really???!!???
That's the trouble with asking people what their favourite sitcom or whatever is; they always reply with the last one they have seen.

The canal programme is good, but I enjoy the UK based ones more that the European ones.

But I'm the same with Mr Portillo's railways. The UK ones are first rate but I'm not so keen on his European ones (but his recent US ones were very good).

One thing that grates with me, clearly he can handle a narrow boat, anything else though. On the French canals steering from the upper wheel position, stop oversteering ffs, keep it straight, seemingly oblivious to the random weaving about.

Sometimes they do the things for effect. "Go on Tim, bounce it off the walls a bit - it will make better TV" the director most likely said to him.

Having watched a lot of the various series I think he's generally not a great helmsman. Great show though, along with the Portillo's railways it's the BBC doing what it does best.

Lol, was the canal series on C4? Keep catching the repeats on one of the freeview channels.

A news series starts this evening at 8 o'clock.

Tim and Pru take a trip to Bristol where Tim is soon to play King Lear at the Old Vic, and revisit both their childhood homes in Devon.

I'm repeating myself here but, Tim really should get some spectacles.

There's stuff I don't watch, .... However I have a solution that works for me, it's the off button, a recommended alternative not used sufficiently frequently, but don't feel the need to insult the cast or crew.
