Great news, however I suspect that it will be Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdoch handing the mantle of DareDevil to a teenage girl with similar disabilities but a little bit better / stronger / more powerful than the original.
Just like all the other Disney + series.
Hope I’m wrong on this one.
Which ones? Just like all the other Disney + series.

Doesn't take more than 5mins of googling to find out and also to realise that Marvel/Disney have been on a quest to deconstruct the toxic masculinity that is supposedly inherent in white males only.Even gods are not allowed to be gods in their universe now. This was made quite clear with the ludicrous decision to have Thor suffer from PTSD and allow him to turn into a fat dithering slob. Now not only has he lost the throne of Asgard, given to a female women of colour but in the next movie he also loses his hammer to a new female Thor.
It is the predictability of it all that really grates I guess.
Hopefully Daredevil gets a pass though as although he is a white male he also ticks a lot of boxes with his vulnerability, handicap and catholic guilt.

Hawkeye - the actual hero was… a teenage girl.
Loki - the actual hero was a female Loki..
Dr strange - let’s face it he was just along for the ride in Wandas movie..
Captain America - now captain carter
Thor - now lady Thor
Hulk - now she hulk
Moon knight - hippo girl saved the day..
And that’s just the obvious stuff. There is an agenda being pushed.
Now, as a father of two girls I actually like the idea of female centric and female lead movies, good role models and all that.
I don’t like the way male characters have to be diminished in order to achieve that though.
There needs to be a balance and fairness to it.

Daredevil Born Again has started on Disney+.
I was initially disappointed with the opening action scene, but the acting and writing quickly redeemed it. Two episodes in, and so far I’m glad it’s back.
I watched the first episode and haven't watched the second yet, which surprised me. I was expecting more, have been left a little disappointed. Maybe Ep2 will convince me more, I certainly hope so.I was initially disappointed with the opening action scene, but the acting and writing quickly redeemed it. I was actually able to make it through the first episode which is more than I can say about almost every Marvel TV show of the last 3-4 years.
Will be watching the second tonight and I think this is a show I'll probably watch all the way. Unless of course Disney pull the old trick of pushing 'The Message' after roping people in.

I'm about 1/3 of the way through the first episode.
Whereas the old Daredevil stuff was a guarantee, this struggled to hold my attention and I chucked on the WEC highlights instead.
I will go back to it at some point, possibly after a few more episodes have been released and I can watch them in one go, and hopefully it gets better.

The first fight scene in episode 1 had a weird dynamic visual to it that I found odd.
Seen both - kingpin is great but lacking in a number of areas so far.
Yeah the opening scene is my only criticism, the VFX was unfortunately the usual lazy Disney stuff. They did a poor job of cutting the scenes with love actors and models together and it just made it look weird. Hopefully that's the last we see of it though. Seen both - kingpin is great but lacking in a number of areas so far.
Aside from that, I think it's excellent so far. Slow start in Ep1 to set the scene and obviously bridge the gap but I love the way they've woven it together.
Early spoilery thoughts:
Foggy can't be dead. They seem to have deliberately left that thread as to why Bullseye only target Foggy and not Karen, seems he was paid to do a specific job. As we know Punisher pops up later, I'm guessing Karen asked him to stash Foggy away somewhere safe and we see them both appear later on
Already the best series Disney has done for a long time. Looking forward to the rest.

Good or bad I am glad it has returned and enjoying it so far
is that Punisher symbol we keep seeing (the graffiti on the wall/the tattoo/the t-shirt at the end) I guess he is going to make an appearance at some point
Yea and yes is that Punisher symbol we keep seeing (the graffiti on the wall/the tattoo/the t-shirt at the end) I guess he is going to make an appearance at some point

Watched the third episode last night, don't get the criticism of having an ep focused on Matt. People have massive rise tinted glasses towards the og show, there were loads of slower, character focused episodes. I thought it was very good, further driving home that message of Matt needing to put the suit back on.
Ep3 was interesting, i'll spoiler in case people are stupid enough to read here before watching the latest episodes...
So do we think that's actual Frank the Punisher at the end? Or just someone cosplaying? Can't imagine why Frank would be working for Fisk/baddies after his character arc in his series.
