I would argue that the MCU as we know it is done.

Everything else moving forward will be it’s own new thing...

Maybe. A while back Feig said that 'phase 4' might not be phase 4, or not set out as previous sections. But who knows. I'm kinda keen, kinda not keen to know. Two things I know, I'll watch SPider-Man 2, and I'll watch GotG 3, even though I'm dubious about putting THor in there, stealing all of Starlord's thunder?
As for others....erm, I have very little interest in the heroes left save for Hulk...if they can fix Hulk and upscale him, or maybe go Grey Hulk, then I'll deffo watch that, but STrange, Marvel, Panther...oh, ANt-Man, I'll watch another Ant-Man film and hopefully they'll pay the character off and he'll get his third.

I was chatting to someone this week and spoke on how outside of Spider-Man, Ant-Man and GotG I have no interest in the other MCU films scheduled (save for the Externals). But if FF come into it, I would like that, and I also like how X-Men won't be seen for at least five years. I think that is a good thing, I also think it's a slight clash as Grace says, and they're gonna have to take a look at that, 'anti-mutant' thing.
Maybe they could enter as baddies....

If you watch the video from the end of the panel after he brings Ali out for the Blade reveal he runs through all the things they’ve not had time to talk about and I believe one of them was mutants...

Disney bought Fox.

No way Marvel are not going to do something with X-Men and FF.

I wonder if MCU is going to become a bit too diluted now - or a bit like a second season of a TV show that has kind of lost its way.

Is the Avengers concept dead or will we have more Avengers films or some sort of other 'joined up' film name to take its place.

Secret Wars seems to be a good place to aim next. It could be that one of these announced movies is a crossover anyway, Civil War was essentially an Avengers movie and used to introduce a major new character, so all bets are off.

Fiege hasn't really put a foot wrong, which is insane when you think about it creatively and logistically, so I imagine they know how to manage it.

In ‘Far from Home’, they talked about The Avengers in a way that suggests it’s not something that ended with the death of Tony Stark. Perhaps it will be something amorphous for a while, allowing any superpowered good guy to count as an Avenger.
Actually, as I typed that last sentence, it occurs to me that could be a future story. Maybe in desperation to keep the idea alive, they accept people as Avengers who are not up to the job. Or even downright evil. (That’s a ‘Far from Home’ spoiler.) Eventually that could lead into a plot where it turns out Skrulls have been infiltrated the team, and wider society.

I'm guessing Captain Marvel is going to feature in one of these 10 movies at some point (Civil War style), seems a big gap not to have one of their $1b characters featured.

As Far From Home was the last of Phase 3 I think we can assume the last end credits scene is a big nod to where things are heading.

I also don't think they'll 'waste' Florence Pugh in a one-off movie (Black Widow), she is a superstar in the making so I expect her character to essentially replace what Johansson brought to the MCU in some way or another.

I do wonder if some of these films will be that well recd compared to the early ones

Black Panther and Captain Marvel were not really that good so its not like they will all be amazing.

Do people really want to see a film about Black Widow? I am sure it will sell a lot of tickets but I wonder if it will be that interesting as a film.

Feige was making hints about how the next bit might not follow the same original plan, or there might not be 'phases.' But it looks like they are sticking with what works...maybe. They're very canny.

In the comics the Avengers roster was constantly changing, there's no real set line-up, though Cap features a lot. When I read the coic books, there was a West Coast Avengers. Though now I know there's other versions, dark, young etc.

Disney and Sony have fallen out over money, so Marvel and Kevin Feige aren't part of Spiderman anymore, it's back with Sony. It may all blow over and go back to the arrangement they had, it may be for real. Not sure where Tom Holland fits in, whether he would carry on in Sony films or not. And what happens with the MCU?

https://io9.gizmodo.com/spider-man-will-no-longer-...

"Update: A Sony rep told us it’s their belief this dispute is simply over a producer credit and negotiations are ongoing. They further clarified Feige has contributed to other Spider-centric movies that he did not receive a producer credit on."

Hmm, it's interesting. Midnight's Edge reckons it's a leak by SOny, to get the PR out there first.

Sony pulls Spider-man out of the MCU?!?
https://youtu.be/LwRFjQYrCy4

they have had some good SPidey vids over the years and hypothesised on what will happen with him, since the 5/6 film deal is sort of known. If Sony change actors, then they have to reboot the series, that's in the deal, so having the third Peter Parker in the MCU bypassed that.

edit
Grace nails it here, a pretty insightful vid.

Was it Sony that leaked the news?
Their stocks went down, thanks to the negativity, and then SOny released a statement.

Apparently, Marvel wanted a say in the Venomverse; which if one is to believe the original story, Kev helped with.

Am I right in thinking that this end to the Sony/MCU deal, means there is no more MCU in Spider-Man and no more Spider-Man in MCU? That's it, we're back to 5 years ago and neither party can reference the other?

I don't want to be the writers involved with that particular headache, in both companies!
