The Prestige probably requires multiple viewings to pick up on everything

I wondered at the no need to go back and watch Nolan films, so I checked his list...it's short. For me, out of the ones I have already watched; I'd watch them all again, because they are so damn well made and executed. I've seen the Batman ones a few times now, Memento..deffo once, maybe twice...it's currently on my sky box to watch...but I need to be in the right mood for a film like that. Seen Insomnia a few times, would watch again. Same with the Prestige. Both Inception and Interstellar I have seen only the once, at the pics, but would watch again as they're pretty amazing.

Inception and the dark Knight are both great movies IMO.

Interstellar is more flawed but still breath taking in parts.

It is hard to argue that none of his movies are not worth rewatching.

I've started sky+ing them so I can skip the st.

Was rather hoping there was only 1 to go....

Surely there's not another 3.....!

If that's so, my summary of season two is, boring, violent, I have no empathy for anyone anymore, they've destroyed any good guys, who exactly should I care about?

But mainly, there's a lot of fking filler!

Best viewed on x30 and pick out the choice nuggets!

What if all of the hosts already use human minds (like the James Delos experiment) but they need to be on a loop to prevent degradation, backed up and rebooted using the cradle data, but if they aren't they start to go crazy. I think 35 days was the longest William said Delos had lasted. It always puzzled me how Peter Abernathy lost his mind and started going crazy so quickly after seeing the photo, the photo that turned out to be William's wife who committed suicide. What if the data in Abernathy's head isn't what Charlotte has said it is, it's actually James Delos' conscious stored and she needs it for some reason. He saw his daughter through Abernathy's eyes and it triggered the anger at losing her, anger at Ford, remember his confrontation. Maybe we will get another flashback moment when Delos on his death bed says "these violent delights have violent ends" in much the same way as Bernard's "it doesn't look like anything to me".

For me there hasn’t been two good episodes in a row this season. I enjoyed last weeks. This week was a bit of a mess.

It’s a fair bet that next weeks will be good - a bit of narrative to explain the mess of time lines and no-space-to-breathe galloping through them in this episode.

A bit of character development would be nice. That is character development that I can actually believe in rather than a twiddling the dials on a computer program.

Dressing up teddy in some body armour and changing his hairstyle hasn’t done much to improve my interest in him. It’s a shame they didn’t wind up the banter dial while they were in there.

He had loads of banter the other week, shame they didn't continue with that passive aggressive schtick he was doing with Dolores. I guess she fixed that too.

Does make you think whether Delores uses him as a Ken doll - "Here, let me put you in this...oh no, your hair is all wrong now, let me sort that too..."

Haha thanks couldnt disagree with this.

I didnt say theyre not worth rewatching. I think they are masterful films and are worth rewatching, but there isnt a huge attraction to rewatch. As technical pieces amazing but they are somewhat 'tiring' and the rewatching is in order to go 'hang on, let me just understand that again'.

They remind me of jigsaw puzzles - youll do one as you want to solve how it comes together but once complete you have the answers you seek.

Maybe whoosh but is there some significance in spelling Dolores (correct) v Delores (->Delo..s)?
I believe the common belief for the tv show is that it comes from the Latin word Dolor which means 'pain, grief, misery, pain, suffering' and such like.

I might be going against the grain of some people here, but I'm starting to lose interest and am on the verge of dropping it.

I loved Season 1, hammered out the boxset over a week, but just can't get into season 2, I've been dipping in & out, just watching episode 5 now, and I'm just getting bored. I don't really care about any of the characters now, and the intrigue I had during season 1 has vanished.

I have to agree with you. I don't care for any of the characters either as I did in season 1. I'll still watch it because the actual idea and premise of it is original and season 1 really got me questioning my own (as well as all of humanity) existence and the possibilities of this odd thing we call life and consciousness. We may very well be the biological parallel of a greater plan.

Anyway, that's a whole other conversation for another time. In the meantime and back on topic, watching season 2 i find that i must constantly keep in mind that they are advanced AI. Otherwise the whole show is just a show about fueding groups in a theme park that went to hell.

But it cracks me up how the machines are instantly as good if not better than the trained mercenary security teams when it comes to combat and modern gun knowledge as opposed to a 6 slot pea shooter from the West.... But I know, I know, suspension of disbelief and all that.

those six-shooters look old, but would have to be the latest tech to work how they work, with hosts and humans.

This is something along the lines I’ve thought. I’ve lost interest and forgotten some details but if William married Delos’ daughter, then Delores would be his wife, or something like that. I’m sure it made sense when I originally thought it.
