Both William and Delores seem stuck on the same page in their quest to whatever their end game is. Both have been responsible for the deaths of their loved ones whilst on their personal journey of hate.
I think this is partly because the themes of the show are so complex and most of them we don't have a very clear handle on - consciousness, freedom, AI etc What is the end game if you have kind of set it up that you are going to answer these questions? What ever the answer is will be dissatisfying.
I find the whole idea that the park is collecting the 'true' nature of people by recording what they do in a totally artificial, consequence free environment to be a bit thin. That William has fallen so hard for it makes me think of those people that live their lives on world simulator games IE that he is a bit of a loser.

Scanners could be in any clothing. It's just a modern update to the drugging and scanning they did to guests in the Futureworld film.
I actually think most of the stuff would come from the interview they have at the start, anyone remember the Game?In Preston's vid he wonders at this, because it'd only work with multiple repeat visits, like MB.

The Game! Utterly underrated gem that was, despite having to suspend your disbelief's disbelief when thinking about the whole premise too deeply and Sean Penn appearing to play a more bratty and obnoxious version of himself. Haven't seen the Preston videos but the people that could afford one trip to the park wouldn't balk at the return cost and these high-net-worth elites are surely the ones that Delos would have a big interest in copying/replacing.In Preston's vid he wonders at this, because it'd only work with multiple repeat visits, like MB.

That is a great film, can't believe I only saw it last year. I've started watching S2 again ahead of the finale. I have a new theory.
Arnold = Bernard = William
In this week's episode just before William kills his daughter the security team show up and say something like "oh my god it's the boss".
In Ep1 when Bernard wakes up on the beach someone is pointing a gun at Bernard and Stubs comes over and says "are you going to kill the boss". I don't think stubbs or anyone else would, or has, referred to Bernard as "the boss". Old William is the boss. Maybe I'm tilting at windmills but the writers have always been careful of their choice of words .
Perhaps Williams consciousness has been put into Bernard's host body?
Also S1 starts in the cradle (wide-screen aspect) with Bernarnold telling Dolores about a dream when the water is rising around him and they are in the distance moving away from him. I'm staking my claim on the valley of beyond being flooded by Bernard and Dolores escaping in to the real world.
Think I should get out more.
I cannot remember the last time I was this excited about a fking TV show.
