I loved Season 1 and gave up with Season 2 about 3/4 of the way through when I realised I had absolutely no idea what was going on. I gave Season 3 a go today. The recap at the start helped a little with what Season 2 was all about, however I couldn’t hear a bloody word anyone was saying! Why the hell is the speech so quiet? I managed forty minutes of Season 3, Episode 1 and gave up!
Ok. I'm confused. Help me out.
Dolores is now Charlotte on the board.
Which Dolores is going round offing rich guys?
Random thief with a dodgy military background and an odd 'voice of dead buddy' PTSD cure in his ear is there to be a sidekick?
Bernard who sometimes isn't Bernard has gone back to look for Maeve.
But she isn't there and is/was in some other simulation until she fell on the grass?
Also noticed there are multiple timelines running again.
I'm lost

I don't think we know who Charlotte is, yet. I was wondering if it was Clementine but she never achieved sentience, and I think Charlotte contains a semi-or properly sentient mind.
I wonder if she is a "scanned human"? I even wonder if she is Charlotte herself, now in a synth body. That might cause her to rethink her allegiances .

Ffs, I didn’t spot the timelines, is that you’ve noticed the picture size changing again?Dolores is now Charlotte on the board.

Or is it something else I’ve missed?!

There is fan speculation right now that the host personality inside the Charlotte Hale body is Teddy...(Spoilered just in case it does turn out to be true!)I wonder if she is a "scanned human"? I thought it was clear at the end of S2 that Dolores' "ball" had ended up in the Charlotte replica? Or did I misunderstand that along with the rest of S2?
Well that is how Delores escaped the park (masquerading as Charlotte) but is clearly now back in a new Delores body that would have been made in the house that Bernard thought was his house. But how she ended up back in her own body again is a bit of a conundrum. Did Delores (as Charlotte) build the new Bernard and Delores bodies and then Bernard swapped the brains over? This seems unlikely to me but the only other way would have been if Dolores (as Charlotte) built a new Delores body, put one of the other 5 brains in this new Delores body, then this new Delores body removes the Delores brain from Charlotte and puts in another of the spare brains, then Charlotte (with new mystery brain) removes other spare brain from Delores body and puts in Delores brain, bingo. Confusing isnt it? its like that brain teaser where you have to get a certain number of items/people across a river but x can not cross with y and y can not cross with z etc

Speaking of overcomplicating things, I'm of the thought that she instead cloned herself and there are multiple delores copies running around.
I haven't watched episode 3 yet, although I think it is available now. Before I do, I'm trying to rationalise what I think I know. Here goes...
Recap of the end of the last series, merging into this one:
Recap of the end of the last series, merging into this one:
- Bernard killed Dolores and put her into a Charlotte host. Was this a "Ford" instruction?
- Dolores/Charlotte uploaded Teddy somewhere. Do we know where?
- Dolores/Charlotte killed human Charlotte. We don't know if she's been scanned and saved, do we?
- Dolores/Charlotte killed Bernard. Was this just so that she could get him (his brain) out of the park, past Strand and his military guys who were suspicious of Bernard?
- Dolores/Charlotte went to the house in the real world and created a Bernard host, proving she kept Bernard's brain
- Dolores/Charlotte created a Dolores host. New Bernard must have switched her brain into it from Charlotte host
- Stubbs stayed in the park
- Maeve was killed outside the door to the Sublime but was resurrected inside a VR Nazi Italy, and then into the real world where she's currently with Serac. Do we know who ressurected her? Was that Serac? If so, was there any purpose to her being in VR Nazi Italy?
- William and Emily are still alive, as hosts, in the present, or was that the future? Emily was killed in the park so we know she's a host now but for her to be administering the fidelity test on William suggests they've worked out the issues with guests uploaded into hosts

And which of Dolores' friends is inside Martin Conells?
That has to be Teddy. Are they messing with timelines again too? I guess we have "present" which is Dolores and Caleb, and future which is William and Emily from last series. I can't really determine whether Bernard and Stubbs, or Maeve and Serac are in the present though.
Oh, and there's another detail I remember from the previous series. There were different coloured brains - I remember now that they called them "pearls". I think the implication was that some of them hold guest personalities. So is Bernard actually Arnold? Did they scan people back when Arnold was alive? Would help explain his confusion about everything.
