I caught up with Bridge to Terabithia on Prime, after someone on here said it was good. It was very good, even though I'm a few decades older than the target audience. 8/10.
It is, but jesus fking christ, I don't wanna watch it again.Jader1973 said:

"A western with sewing machines" set in Australia in the 1950s.
It was very good. 8/10.
I've seen this a few times and it's always good."A western with sewing machines" set in Australia in the 1950s.
It was very good. 8/10.
Liam Hemsworth, Kate Winslet, Hugo Weaving all on top form.
If you enjoyed Muriel's Wedding, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert or Little Miss Sunshine, you'll love this.
Dark, tragic, laugh out loud comedy.
9.5/13.

Not funny. At all. I'm staggered this dogst was ever released. Turned it off after half an hour. fk off Adam Sandler.
1/10.
He's done some utter st recently. Used to love Happy Gilmore and a few of his other ones. I think I've seen 1 of his new ones on NetFlix that was watchable. The others have all been total ste including Sandy Wexler. What a total waste of my life. Wonder if I can send him a bill for my time? Not funny. At all. I'm staggered this dogst was ever released. Turned it off after half an hour. fk off Adam Sandler.

Excellent filmFast and Furious 8. You know pretty much what's going to happen, preposterous stunts, impossible physics - but fun.
The Dead Lands. A Maori film which is actually not too bad a watch (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3399916/)

Watched Kill List last night. A 2011 British film directed by Ben Wheatley. Highly recommended, quite disturbing, better if you don't know anything about it in advance. It has the visual feel of Dead Man's Shoes, slightly more fked up though, in multiples of thousands.
Excellent film.

Excellent film.
Interesting film but I never warmed to the two lead characters and didn't give a st what happened to them. Excellent film.
Few that I've watched over the last couple of weeks:
Eye in the Sky (2015)
Helen Mirren runs a co-op drone mission in the sky above Africa. Hadn't seen anything about this one before ,but thought it was excellent - tense throughout with a great cast; Alan Rickman in particular stood out, and some cool mini-tech.
The Girl on the Train (2016)
Another one that's been covered on here a few times. Thought it was watchable (but too long), if standard Hollywood psycho-thriller fare. Emily Blunt was good though.
Terminator: Salvation (2009)
Hadn’t seen this for a while – hasn’t aged particularly well, I found it a tedious slog. Did notice a couple of nods to Star Wars / ESB that I hadn’t picked up on before though.
Dream House (2011)
Daniel Craig, taking a break from Bond; some ste about a family killer, or burglars. Lost interest early on & didn’t really pay attention. Seemed crap though.

The Handmaiden
Great story (a conman, along with his female accomplice, set out to seduce a wealthy lady in 1930s Japan-occupied Korea so he can marry her and steal her fortune, but there are many twists and turns), well told, but blimey charlie it gets a bit tasty (at least 5 or 6 times) between the two female leads!
Great setting, good script (nb: subtitled) and surprisingly funny in places too, plus the standard Park Chan-wook crazy factor ratcheted up to eleventy hundred (inc trademark squid). Just don't go to see it with your parents. Or your kids. Or any prudish family members. Wouldn't particularly recommending it as a date movie with a girl whose family is originally from Korea either but luckily it was her suggestion to see it rather than mine, so she's the perv, not me
