Suicide Squad
I just don't know. It passed two hours quite reasonably, the cast were good (especially HQ) the characters fine, except for Joker who was rubbish. The action was convincing and the plot was straightforward and consistent in it's own world. I liked the soundtrack as well.
It just felt a bit flat.
It felt both rushed and dragged out. Normally in this type of thing the heros get a couple of warm up missions before being dumped into the the finale prior to the inevitable betrayal by one of their own. There was no peril, no shocks the baddies were too good.
Joker felt like a tagged on extra as did Batman.
I'll give it 6.5 as it kept me entertained.
Sounds about right for me too.

When we were deciding what to watch at the weekend, Mrs Durbs asked about Suicide Squad and I had to remind her we'd already watched it a month ago. That's how memorable it is smile

Tank Girl. Utter, utter bilge - couldn't finish it
I didn't make it past the first 10-15 mins.
I quite like it but I can see why a lot of people hate it. It's definitely one of the more comic book like films of a comic book if you see what I mean. Shame Camp Koala wasn't in it though.

Wonder Woman - Meh. 5/10.

Passable time filler. Nowhere near as great as all the reviews seem to think it is, kind of wished we'd gone to The Mummy instead.

I know its a comic book but Major Plot Hole;

a.) I know WW1 Fokkers were slow but could you really chase them in a battle cruiser?
b.) What happened to the battle cruiser? I'm sure I saw it in the background when the Germans were rowing ashore. Surely that would have be able to blast the crap out of paradise island?

However Gal Gadot..........

I would like to use the Jimmy Carr/Rachel Riley/broken glass metaphor but it would probably get me banned. But any interest I had in the actual plot disappeared when she finally got to be in the full outfit about 20 minutes from the end.

gggggg.hhhhhhh..... Toads going to have to have a lie down now.

Cheers, clearly missed that. thumbup

The force field round the island seemed dead easy to penetrate though. Kind of begs the question why it hadn't happened before?

Not a force field. Just a disguise.

Nobody else had happened to try and go into that small bit of "empty" sea.

The MUmmy looked criminally awful from the trailer....

RLM boys say it us utterly awful, lots of spoilers, I'm not gonna waste money on it so don't care.

They seem genuinely tired of these empty poorly made, cash-grabbing films now.

Shame that, I was hoping for something good.

How was Michael Bisping?

although it says 8.0 on IMDB when you look at the break down of the votes and ignoring all the 10s given by the film producers friends, family and paid voters. 46x 10 votes, yeah right hehe It's a mid 6.2 - 6.5

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2024521/ratings?ref_=t...

Although with 7 votes of 1, probably less. smile

Bisping hardly features, I have read Mcclean's books and its vaguely accurate, the gurning is very strange..

Week off with the kids, they wanted to see Boss Baby which was funny and sweet with the usual simple plot and nice message that these things usually have.

A couple of interesting adverts, Cars 3 looks like it's gone back to its roots and the clips in look absolutely amazing especially compared with Fireman Sam which looked like an extremely basic cash in. Fortunately mine are a bit old now for FS because an hour of Norman and I'd go on a killing spree.

Alien Covenant - Man I was so hoping it was going to recover the franchise from Prometheus. But no, bad acting, absurd plot lines and most of the film saying to myself 'Why the f*** would you do that'. - No wonder why there was only 4 of us in the whole cinema watching it.

Very irritating movie 3/10

It's 20 mill in the red, so hopefully that will have finished off any further excursions. By Ridley Lucas.
