War Dogs on Sky Movies
One of the best films I've watched in a long time but I do like a film based on a true story, I can't stand all the Marvel crap that's constantly being churned out, it's just the same film with different characters
I thought this was about as plausible as a Marvel film One of the best films I've watched in a long time but I do like a film based on a true story, I can't stand all the Marvel crap that's constantly being churned out, it's just the same film with different characters
I didn't think much of it. It didn't seem sure whether it was supposed to be a comedy or not.

You know, it is possible to say you like something without saying you don't like something else as well. One of the best films I've watched in a long time but I do like a film based on a true story, I can't stand all the Marvel crap that's constantly being churned out, it's just the same film with different characters
Imagine if you did that in real conversation. It would be weird.
Random person: "hi Wack what did you watch on TV this weekend?"
Wack: "I watched Game of thrones. I really love that show..... I hate Eastenders though"
Random person: "Errr OK. Have you been following the tennis at Wimbledon?"
Wack: "Yes. That Nadal match was amazing...... I cant stand water polo though. It's crap"
Random person: "Gotta go. Bye!"

Thanks to a review earlier in the thread, we watched "Beneath Loch Ness" last night. It was as awful and excellent as described. Thank you.

Mission Control: The Unsung Heros of Apollo
Another, albeit recent, documentary about the moon missions, this time focusing on the men behind the consoles making all the calls and decisions.
Of course it concentrated on the Apollo 1 fire, the '11 landing and the '13 triumph. All the usual talking heads (Kranz, Duke, Cernan, Lovell etc) but a few that are usually ignored such as the EECOMs, CAPCOMs, other Flight Directors etc.
I'm a sucker for this stuff so was absorbed, but there's very little new material.
For an Apollo enthusiast (like me): 8/10
For a casual observer (someone unlikely to seek such a film out) probably a 7/10

Having watched it and being of the same opinion as wack, I did a bit of googling to see how much of it was true. Turns out, most of it!
I even had a nosey round the website mentioned where the US DoD look to buy everything from paperclips to tanks. That's quite an eyeopener.

Sounds interesting; is this on NF/Amazon or did you go oldskool with a disc?Another, albeit recent, documentary about the moon missions, this time focusing on the men behind the consoles making all the calls and decisions.

Baby Driver
6/10
Dreadful start but warms up, eventually being spoilt by too many unrealistic car chases ad corny story. I think it has tried to jump on the tails of the that Too Fast and Furious tripe that the masses seem to enjoy.
The music saves it from a 4/10.
Pip
Ps Miss Sloane - 2016
9/10
Only watched recently. Brilliant and one of the best films I have seen in a long while.

King Arthur - Legend of the Sword
Woah, seemed like lots of bits of other things, extremely Game of Thrones (King even looked like the one in the series and Littlefinger even turned up), a bit Lord of The Rings, X-Men, The Birds, a little bit ninja and even squeezed in the ever popular squid-like creature.
Ultimately, overly manic at the beginning and hard to follow.
Got better as the film went on but still a lot of plagiarism, Mr Ritchie.
