Late to the party but I finally managed to get around to watching Sicario last night. It was very well done. Tense, eerie, not formulaic and an interesting journey of morality, inner conflict and not as over the top as I had suspected it might be. A solid 9 / 10 from me.

Now watch Hell or High Water (Amazon Prime) and Wind River (cinema) to complete the set smile

I've seen Hell or High Water and really enjoyed it. Just need to get around to Wind River which at my current rate of keeping up, will probably happen in 2020 biggrin

Just watching that now, also watched it a while back, good movie.

I read a good book about the same subject a couple of years ago, the carnage and chaos up there is unbelievable. Dead bodies, piles and piles of rubbish and abandoned equipment, like a travellers camp 5 miles long.
Everest base camp May this year, quite busy - https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@28.0049501,86.85936...

Cowboys and Aliens, from a recording last week I think. Not incredible, really, but I'm in a bit of a TV drought at the moment.

Falling Down is next on the list, finally on the TV again towards the end of last week. I have vague memories of this being on C4 years ago and not really being that impressed with it, but for some reason have had a yearning to see it again recently.

It took me ages to watch "Cowboys and Aliens" as the title just didn't appeal but in the end it was worth watching.

I watched this at the weekend - It's one of my favourite films. It's fascinating to watch how far he does fall and the black humour that the film employs

Williams - Really excellent documentary on the Williams team (and family) - Very honest and raw film - Far, far, far better than the Senna movie in providing an insight into the man (FW in this case, AS in that).
I watched it last night, I couldn't agree more, it is a superb piece of film making. You don't need to be a motorsport enthusiast to appreciate the life story being told. I thought Claire in particular was very open and honest, super lady.

Frank Dernie made me laugh a lot, he didn't pull his punches on his view of Mansell, a massive asshole. laugh

Having been called "buddy" twice this morning I can understand William Foster's anger.

Alien covenant on DVD.

Cinematography so dark it often impossible to see what was going on even in slo-mo replay. The dialogue that was too fast & mumbled and often impossible to follow; a plot so full of holes that suspension of disbelief was continuously broken.

It was hard to believe that Ridley Scott was responsible for this shark jumping nonsense, given the core reveal is really quite good.

Hugely disappointed, 3 out of 5 still feels overly generous.

POTC: Dead Men Tell No Tales

More of the same, very tongue in cheek, but I enjoyed it.

Wonder Woman.

I was quite surprised with the shots that were very clearly CGI, it looked quite bad in places. Not helped by a very generic storyline. I think I am done with all Marvel/DC films now, no more!
