“Wheelman” as recommended, thanks!

Really taught film.

I now need an air cooled Porsche......

8/10
Seconded for the recommendation. E46 sounded awesome throughout, but the 911 at the end, sublime. Reminded me of “Locke” in lots of ways only with more death.

8/10

Locke, just watched it.........really, wtf. I went in blind and came out disappointed.

Superb acting by Hardy but I came away empty. The film fulfilled it's role I guess but I wanted and expected something more.

A begrudged 6/10. Could be a tad more if I was in the mood for this type of film but after watching Wheelman last night I was up for a different ride.......

Transformers: The Last Knight

Expected little and was not disappointed. Highlights were one of the Transformers pimping machine guns with three sets of rotating barrels, like 3 GAU-8 Avengers rotating around each other. Do want. Also some of the characters, particularly the Decepticons were really quite funny and likeable.

Downsides? Well as i seem to keep posting at the moment, is it trying to be action film or a comedy? This film has an example more perfect that most. I'll hide it behind a spoiler jobbie, but I don't think it's really necessary. One of the scenes has dramatic music and it turns out it's a Transformer playing an organ. Then the same joke is repeated and it's the Transformer singing. It's not a bad joke, but then the very next scene has more dramatic music, which I'm guessing you're then supposed to take seriously. Also while we're in spoiler mode, Decepticons have red eyes and Transformers have blue eyes just incase you struggle to tell who are the goodies and who are the baddies, but when Optimus Prime was conflicted his eyes actually turned purple. I just don't have the words.

Judging by the IMDB scores the Transformers series is only going in one direction:

Transformers (2007): 7.1
Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen (2009): 6.0
Transformers - Dark of the Moon (2011): 6.3
Transformers - Age of Extinction (2014): 5.7
Transformers - The Last Knight (2017): 5.2

Shame as I thought the first one was great, with the best CGI i'd seen at the time by no small margin. The second and third ones were alright, but the last two have been rubbish. I think the IMDB score is flattering and would say 3/10.

It’s The Last Knight, with a ‘K’. Given the plot line - such as it is - it does make a pretty big difference!

If the main character had refrained from saying "wtf" every 15 seconds I might have gotten into easier, alas it was mostly annoying.

Thor ragnarock

Going to be the party pooper a little. Yes it's worth watching, effects are pretty stunning, one laugh out loud moments and some pretty funny stuff most of the way through but that's it's problem it was just guardians of the galaxy.
Same old story don't in the same way, all looks lost team forms takes on the bad guy.

Some very, very unoriginal bits had me rolling my eyes and saying to myself don't you dare say it but they did. The sets ups for the gags are getting so formulaic that the gagas can be seen a mile off. Korg was funny but just felt out of place.

All the actors involved were great it's a good film take brain out and enjoy 7/10

Sightseers. An odd one but I liked it, wasn't sure how it was going to end when I was watching it, but I didn't expect that hehe

Saw that first time round, (film on four I believe). Really enjoyed it, made my wife and I smile.

You know the old adage, none so queer as folk.

Popstars Never Stop Never Stopping

Andy Samberg film about being in a boy band and then going alone. If you like his Lonely Island music videos you'll probably like this, very similar humour.

Couple of big laugh out loud moments, chuckling along nicely most of the time. Story is weak as you'd expect.

what did you tink were the unoriginal bits?
I thought some of the performances were good, but the Valkyrie, she was weak.

Lost in Spacey

A controversial film about child abuse.

Too soon?

Wind River

Hawkeye and the Scarlet Witch take on a whodunnit in a snowy Indian reservation. Although it's a decent character-driven story, it is a fairly conventional story and could be described as a bit of a slow burner for most of the film.

Decent enough.

hehe Don't worry, there will be plenty more the way this current trend is going. Segal is next on the hit list.

12 Angry Men 1957

A classic B/W film entirely set in a jury room.
