Sightseers. An odd one but I liked it, wasn't sure how it was going to end when I was watching it, but I didn't expect that hehe
Saw that first time round, (film on four I believe). Really enjoyed it, made my wife and I smile.

You know the old adage, none so queer as folk.
Yeah, we liked that one too - I think partly because of the 'Nuts in May' similarities, which is a cult film in our household after catching it accidentally on BBC2 late one night after a few drinks! Effectively the same with less violence and not taken to the extreme, but also hilarious.

I saw the Alice Lowe film 'Prevenge' last week - it was similarly dark. Interesting but not as amusing.

12 Angry Men 1957

A classic B/W film entirely set in a jury room.

8/10 well worth a watch.
An iconic movie and definitely worthy of a 8/10, as opposed to some scores here

Should we have a show of hands?

I may have been a bit stingy with an 8...

No need. Half a million already gave it an 8.9: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0050083/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Dog Soldiers.

I absolutely love this movie. I really don't think there's anything I would change about it.

9/10 - as I can't find a blu ray version anywhere.

"Well push them back in then"
"They won't fit!!!"

Silver Linings Playbook

Caught this last night on TV, it takes a bit to get going and for you to get into the absurdity of it, but its a really nicely done dark comedy.

Enjoyed it more than i expected after the first 15 minutes, so stick with it.

8/10

Birdman

Watched last night. Very quirky and quite a deep film. Michael Keaton seems to be getting better with age.

La La Land,

Watched tonight. Can see why it won best film, another quirky film with a few different stories going on.

I have heard a lot the criticisms rightly aimed at this film. Shonky effects are a new one on me.

What do you consider good effects?

GOTG 2
Liked the first One but this was lazy and derivative, action had zero tension, jokes all missed, the blue skinned bloke was decent and Pratt is watchable 4/10
