Palm Springs

Been waiting for this for ages and it lives up to expectations, fantastic film.

Best viewed knowing as little as possible.
Had my eye on this when it was released - great now it's on Prime!
6/10 at best....don’t believe the hype and watch Groundhog Day instead it’s far better.
5/10 from me. Truly mediocre.
agreed
Watched it last night, big fan of Samberg, but that was average at best.
It was OK, we enjoyed it. As mentioned, it's no Groundhog Day, but it's not an either/or as suggested, watch both if you've not seen GHD.

Thanks all for the Palm Springs recommendations. First couple of minutes includes a guy finishing himself off having just failed coitus. Why did I decide this would be great to watch with wife and mother-in-law. frown

I don't believe I've seen a bad one.

Total legend.
The deadpool, Sudden Impact and any of the Clyde the Orangutan movies spring to mind.

Invincible. 18 rated animated superhero show.

Well acted, well animated, straightforward telling of a story in a world of superheros. All the characters are familiar archetypes of heroes and villains, much like the Seven in The Boys are analogous to the Justice League.
But it’s not a comedy or an ironic deconstruction of the genre, which is what you’d except of an 18 rated animated show.

It gets brutal as they show how much damage a super strong being can do to the human body.
It's brilliant, a bit like The Boys mixed with a Saturday morning cartoon.
I came to see if this has been mentioned. I read the first 100 or so issues of the comic. So glad to see it animated.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned on here but watching “Start Up”, which I would thoroughly recommend. It’s a 3 part series and we are currently into Season 2. It’s Based around Crypto Currency but don’t let that put you off. It tells the fictitious story of how three people from different backgrounds form an unlikely alliance to create a company along BritCoin lines. Based in Miami, it mixes the Spanish/Haitian community with Hi Tech Computer Markets and how it can be corrupted by unscrupulous business and Russian Mafia. Martin Freeman plays an FBI agent, a long way removed from “The Office” but carries the part well in my opinion. Contains enough plot to keep you interested with the occasional shocking moments of “I didn’t see that coming” variety. One of the things I like is that there is no irritating background music, the story progresses forward without flashbacks and there are no “one year earlier” scenarios. The acting all round is of a high standard.
I suggest you may want to watch with subtitles as some of the authentic dialogue can be a little hard to follow!
We're on Season 2 of this, really enjoying it, and as you say, some real 'didn't see that coming' moments.

Really enjoying the series THEM. A black family move to a racist neighbourhood in 1950s California and meet sinister forces. Very entertaining if not particularly original. Not for the squeamish and have had to fast forward a couple of parts.

Funny if this has been mentioned but 'Patriot' is absolutely hilarious, really dark, weird humour, well scripted, well cast.

I thought it was fantastic. Especially the bar scene at the very end.

But I think I might have seen it before... wink

And there's talk of a sequel. I wonder if it will be the same as before?

I’d never heard of it until you guys mentioned it. I’ve watched a couple of episodes so far. Things seem to be escalating pretty quickly. Not sure how there are gonna get 2 seasons out of it before it all come crashing down around his ears.

I laugh out loud at least once in every episode, so clever.

Really enjoyed this, a great story of redemption and beautifully filmed as always (with Clint).

I noticed Amazon rated it at 7/10. I'd probably agree.

It was ok / sharp until they realised it had to end spent 2 minutes writing the ending. Very disappointing.
