Great programme (not that price, mind). Have you seen The Good Doctor, it is similar in many ways to House MD.
I'll check it out thanks smile
The good doctor is brilliant.

If UFO's, Men in black, and government conspiracies aren't your thing then it's probably best avoided!
Dark Skies is by far the best example in that genre.

The Majestic 12 conspiracy theory as a TV series, brilliantly interweaves real historical events in the story line.

A really good show mostly forgotten by the world.

Also possibly the most blatant example of a show suiciding in the last episode because it was cancelled. They really crashed it into the ground.

Though Penny Dreadful made a strong attempt to take the crown with the way the writers blew the whole thing up on cancellation.

Finished watching the Purge. I don't overly rate it. It had great premise at the start, but lacked drama and the music got a bit repetitive near the end as it was overused.
Yeah, we watched the first two episodes last night and won't be going back. The script and acting are appalling.

The looming tower

pretty good, lead up to 9/11.

Startup season 3 out now.

Anyone not seen it. It’s a great series about bitcoin and techies and gangsters.
Binged all 10 episodes of season 3 yesterday! Very nearly as good as seasons 1 & 2. A great cliffhanger to finish so, we are almost certain to get another season thumbup

I'm late to the party with this, but I just finished latest season of House of Cards. It's not very good is it? I'm assuming it's the last one?

The Colour Out of Space - weird black and white sci-fi.
Mostly German with subtitles. Based on HP Lovecraft novel.

Anyone watching the new Julia Roberts thing? The critics are loving it....

I watched the first one last night.
Intriguing story, if a bit slow to start....It looks fabulous though.

(edit for title )"Homecoming"

I watched the first one last week, which I thought was surprisingly short at about 30mins.

It was okay but, I haven't found myself compelled to go back and watch the second episode yet, which can't be a good sign!

I finished the original podcast which was excellent and went straight into the TV series. Pretty good, IMO, although the Belfast character in the TV show isn't anywhere near as funny as the podcast version played by David Schwimmer.

If you enjoy The Hoonigan's Youtube channel then Ken Block's Gymkhana Files (first two episodes available now) is worth a watch.

It's the behind the scenes of the Tenth Gymkhana film.

A 2005 series called "TANKS!" is currently on Prime.

Terrible name (all capitals, and an exclamation mark), possibly the crappest opening titles ever, but the actual programmes are fairly interesting. If you are interested in tanks, that is.
I skipped past that because I thought that was an Irish remake of Cheers.

I'm really rather getting in to Beat.

German, with subtitles, it centres on a guy working in a techno club in Berlin. Started off pretty so-so, but as it has developed it has got a whole lot darker and more complex.

I think it's 10 episodes of 30 mins so it's short overall. They managed to pack in a reasonably complex story with decent characters but if it weren't for the Julia Roberts hype it would just be lost in the millions of other options IMO.

I have just watched 'The Sweeney - Paris', a French remake of the recent Ray Winstone film, starring Jean Reno (sadly not called Jacques Regan).

Minimal plot, lots of car chases, gun fights, cursing etc like the original but classier because it has subtitles.

The Patriot, S2.

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed S1 and S2 followed up with the same surreal ( oh, that just happened. okaaayyy. ), relaxed vibe on dealing with 'issues'. The 'sing-a-long' sections are wonderful.

IMHO amazon prime is generally weak, but this is one of the few standouts.
