And she doesn't disappoint.

I absolutely love Bosch. Those who have read the books are generally very complimentary about it as far as I can recall.

Season 5 just finished shooting and coming back for 6. Good news.

Excellent news - do we know when season 5 will be available to watch?

I think it was around April this year. Based on the book “Two Kinds of Truth”

Working through last man on earth, its not to bad, some pretty good lines in it. A few episodes got annoying but better towards the end of s1 and start of series 2.

Is it just me, or have Prime removed all the genres from the firestick? I can't now browse for films by type, so am stuck with the very limited lists, most of which seems to be rent or buy. Have I missed something?

On Bosch, I am an avid book fan, so was super cautious about watching an adaptation but it's excellent. Can't wait to see the next series.

I'm undecided about Bosch.

Watched the first series, and it was OK. Although I felt it tried to be clever with a few twists, but they didn't surprise me that much because I just didn't really feel like I cared that much about where the story was going.

Second series is much the same. I watched the first 3 or 4 episodes at the weekend, and decided to watch a couple more last night - but as I decided to do that, I genuinely couldn't remember what the story line was or what they were investigating until I started watching the next episode.

It's the kind of thing I should like, the acting is decent, nothing wrong with the plots but it just doesn't seem to hold my attention and I never feel like I want to watch the next one to see what happens.

On the other hand, Jerry Ryan is in S2 (Seven of Nine from the old Next Generation) and she is definitely worth watching!
She was in Voyager not Next Generation

RWBY, an American anime-style animation series from Rooster Teeth. Volumes 1-4 are included with Amazon Prime.

Totally bonkers and very funny in places. I'm enjoying it.

Michael Connelly is a producer on the TV series.

I think if I hadn't read the Bosch books and already been invested in the characters I'd probably have given up on the TV stuff.

There are things on Prime that I watch myself when Mrs TP isn't around. If I start a series of something and it's rather good, then I stop watching until we can start it again together so she doesn't miss out. If it's not great, but still entertaining, I'll keep watching it alone, knowing Mrs TP isn't missing anything life-changing.

Bosch was definitely one I watched by myself. It's entertaining, but second rate.

Similar pattern in my house too. I also share your thoughts on Bosch; enjoyed S01, got through S02 and gave up halfway through S03

Just finished the season. It had it's moments, but overall I found the whole thing quite bland. Agree with above.
I'm about 6 episodes in, and find myself only watching it when I've run out of everything else I'm watching. It's not really pulling me along either!
...last few episodes were actually very good. Plenty of tension! Made it a worthwhile watch IMO, even if it takes a while to get going.

I may be a bit late to the party here (which is nothing new) but, I started watching' The Marvelous Mrs Maisel' over the weekend. I wasn't expecting much but, found it quite entertaining with good characters and genuinely funny in places.

Yes, it's a good watch (as are her tupney bits), new series out now which I need to start consuming....

Just finished the second season of Patriot (I've been rationing it). It continues to be superb, the characters, the plot, the photography (especially the way each shot is framed). It won't suit everybody, but those who get it will love it.

I’ve been think long about starting The Patriot. When you say it won’t be suitable for everyone, what do you mean? What’s it similar to?

It really isn't like anything I've ever watched before, so can't help there. It's not suitable for people who watch a couple of episodes and don't get it (like my wife, for instance).

It is pretty unique. But I fall into the 'your wife,' category - the humour was hitting the mark some of the time, but I found everything else a bit, 'meh.' I sacked it off after 3-4 episodes mind.

The Patriot is a slow burn for most of series I, but I really liked it, series II moves up a gear but fast it aint. I'm really liking the characters, the plot and the humour, wife didn't get it at all.
