Jean claude van dame is very good.
Jean Claude Van Johnson you mean? its worth a watch. will probably only make 1 series I'd imagine though. You were right about it only being one season, sadly. However I've gone ahead and downloaded it and watched the pilot episode so far, found it very funny whilst on a short flight last night

I may be a bit late to the party here (which is nothing new) but, I started watching' The Marvelous Mrs Maisel' over the weekend. I wasn't expecting much but, found it quite entertaining with good characters and genuinely funny in places.
Yes, it's a good watch (as are her tupney bits), new series out now which I need to start consuming....lemmingjames said:

It looks fabulous, but Mrs Maisel does an awful lot of exasperated shouting in the scenes with her parents and ex husband which is just so irritating.
TBH I often feel that I'm not the right kind of audience for the show when I'm watching it. Not really sure who it's aimed at though.....

Second season done. I liked it, particularly the bit where they went away for the summer. I think they capture the era extremely well and the main protagonists are all likeable. Her Dad in particular makes me laugh with some of his reactions/mannerisms.I wish they'd just get rid of of the Mum and Dad storyline and concentrate more on the gigs and the relationship with her manager (who is the funniest character by far).

Looking forward to a 3rd season.

Not freebie in Prime but Snowpiercer is £3.99 for the digital HD version.
Snowpiercer is a brilliant film, first time I watched it I didn't have subtitles (legal, cough, download, cough...) as I thought it was filmed that way, but I still got it. We need trains like that to solve leaves/snow on the lines.
Completed last man on earth now. Some annoying episodes but enjoyed all 4 series. Shame they aren't doing the 5th and final series.
Amazon prime tv is really atrocious to search on. There is loads on there but its just not accessible. I find myself having to find a film I like then scroll down to see other suggestions.

Anyone else having continuous problems with the Prime app on their smart tv?
I’m on a Panasonic and the app keeps dying. Start a show and within seconds the whole thing trips out and shuts down. This happens more often than not. It also fairly regularly forgets where you were in a show, so you have to start again from the beginning.
It’s becoming almost unusable and I only bother with Prime now when there’s nothing on Netflix.

Yes, the Movies screen used to let you browse recommended Prime movies by genre. Now it's very hard to find anything that's included in Prime, only things that require additional payment. Don't forget that you can use the Amazon website to browse or search, and you can add interesting things to your watchlist so that they're easy to find on the Prime tv.robfox said:

What I find particularly annoying is that the Amazon Video UI is different on my Android tablet, the Amazon Fire TV box connected to my non-smart telly, and the Amazon App on my Panasonic smart TV. Radically different.
And, worse, they keep changing with every update.

Amazon Prime menus and search is beyond crap. Surely they must get lots of negative feedback? Can't even search by genre anymore.
It is crap. When browsing through new films to buy, you have to wade through pages upon pages of 'learn the guitar' crap, or 'learn to draw a celebrity' tutorials! I just wanted to know what new FILMS are available to buy or rent, as per the Amazon title description!chris watton said:

It's the same crap that makes people post eBay adverts for "Thing you are not looking for NOT thing you are looking for" in the vain hope that you will say "oh! I hadn't considered that". All it actually does is piss people off and worsen the signal-to-noise ratio.
