+1 again. S1 was definitely better, but S2 still worth a watch IMO.

Yep, it did get better - finished it last night. Was quite surprised by the ending / conclusion.

Watched Sully the other day based on the real events of US Airways flight 1549 that ended up in the Hudson River. Thought it was quite good.

Yes, that was a good watch.

Another film on Prime we watched last night which was excellent - The Death of Stalin. Very funny but very black humour. Recommended.

"Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing and Charm School". A short film on a 50's theme expanded to a feature length with quite a few twists. Good cast but probably a bit odd to really make it big.

The Shield and Justified are both excellent. amongst my favourite ever shows, I just with they made more like them.
Try 19-2. Montreal set Canadian police series. Apart from the ghost bits which are really confusing for a second or two, and the unnecessary sex scenes it's very good.

Were you just checking we were paying attention? Surely there's no such thing?

Road
The heartbreaking and adrenaline-fuelled tale of a family obsessed with road motorcycle racing - the most dangerous of all motor sports. For two generations, the Dunlop men have dominated the international road racing scene. This documentary takes the viewer on a blistering emotional ride with its heroes, to experience the victories, bumps and crashes both on and off the road.

Since they keep showing clips of it, I watched the first episode of Preacher last night.
Didn't really know what to expect - but it certainly wasn't that. Very odd.
Not sure if I enjoyed it or not! May watch a few more episodes, but not convinced I'll stick with it.

Well I would say startup if you missed it ,very current when it was first aired not to be missed .
Spent weeks persuading the wife to give this a go. Needless to say, we both love it, and have watched 8 episodes over 6 nights (this is our entire TV viewing over that time, that's how much we like it)

Yes, we liked it. Light in places, but interesting plot and cinematography as you say.

My 8 year old daughter also thinks 'Just add magic' is one of the best kids TV shows she has seen. Whomever they got to produce it must have been poached from Disney.
My kids love this too, season 4 has just landed.

Also another kids show, 'Gortimer Gibson's Life on Normal Street' is very good.

I watched this last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. I remember hearing about the event in the news but never really read into it. Tom Hanks also proving again that he can literally become anyone and never be typecast.

VERY late to the party so apologies if all of this has been covered

the marvellous mrs maisel - aptly titled!
the man in the high castle - confusing at times, each series gets harder to understand but worth a watch
taken - mindless americana
vikings - fantastic
black sails - like vikings but more piratey and a little bit more lighthearted

on the watchlist, please let me know if i should avoid....
hand of god
hell on wheels

on the watchlist for swmbo (love vintage styles so mrs maisel was a huge hit for her)
Z the beginning of everything
the last tycoon

anything obvious i've missed and should add?

The lesbian officer being eaten out by the lesbian stripper a public stairway, in the open was a bit over the top. I'm no prude but it just seems a bit sensationalist.
