I live in Austria so the firestick is mainly used with the NordVPN app to get the UK streaming apps to work and *cough* kodi *cough* on occasion whistle

You could always try a factory reset of your old one first? Would likely speed it up a bit, but then they are cheap anyway...

We're now 5 episodes into Hanna. Some of it is enjoyable, some of it is weird, and some of it is pretty awful.

I feel a bit like Theresa May.

You're right. At points you could be in a Bourne film; then a few minutes later, you wonder whether you've accidentally clicked to a children's TV channel.

I hadn't seen the original film, so had no expectations either way. Will see the series out though.

Not free but worth the rental: Free Solo - if you like sitting with your jaw open and trying not to look at the same time...

We still kill the old way .

Tired cliche old retired comes back from abroad to avenge his brothers death.

So bad it's good, DI Burnside is in it so I enjoyed it.

That was good but watch out because I don't think the last season is on Prime. It looks like £11 for the last season

Not sure how long it's been there but noticed yesterday that The Tick season 2 is now out. Loved season 1 and 4 episodes into season 2 now and just as good as S1.

Finished it last night, err, some of it is enjoyable, some of it is weird, and some of it is pretty awful.

American Gods. A tarnished gem?

Started well in S1, but in S2 its on a long and frankly boring road to 'the war'.

The characters could be discussing cheese on toast recipes for all the benefit or insight the monologues provide.

Its very shiny, but somehow paper thin in the story.

Perhaps its just me.

<grrrr> lol, I've got time only just started S3 so fingers crossed it'll not be an issue by the time I get there (not checked it yet TBH).

I ended up just paying for the final episode rather than the whole season. That way I found out what happens in the end and I could move onto something else.

We watched the first 5 series of "The Americans" mostly because it was free and it's something to have on while we have supper. When the 6th series was released at £2.99 an episode we chose not to bother, but now it's on Prime we've started watching it again. And I still have no idea why. It features the most unpleasant lead character I have ever come across. I keep hoping that she will be killed but that's probably too much to hope for. And the daughter is as convincing as a three pound note.

She's bloody gorgeous though. That's why.

American gods first series was original and weird in a good way, however have given up on this series after the second episode.
With Hanna I wonder what audience it was meant for as at times its pretty childish, shall persevere as most of it is good and only have a couple of episodes left.
