Anyone watching Treadstone?

Early days (EP3) but watching more in hope it will turn out anything like the Bourne films, not much sign of it yet.
Yep..at same stage. Lots of action, lots of locations, not a lot of plot

I’m up to 6 now and it’s not improving. Assuming there’s a coming together at some point, although if it’s going to be in series 2...

Just finished Ep1. Does the series go on to explain why they don't age, but everybody else does?

Not really. When he modifies the phone, I’d love to know where his secret sellotape dispenser was.

I think I’m overthinking it.

I think the plot is that someone has coopted a recent US sleeper agent ring and is attempting to co-opt a Soviet Cold War secret nuclear missile program to sell to North Korea. And the back story appears to be about how both came about and then left.

I’m assuming it’s based on the concept of how modern private enterprise has profited strongly from government programs and selling them to the highest bidders.

From what I can work out North Korea already has access to the US agents and is starting to use them to remove key obstacles or a private business is selling their services to governments and corporates which to me explains more the various assassinations to date.

It seems pretty vanilla but after three episodes quite watchable.

Not on Amazon or netflix, and I cant find a Now TV thread.

Series is about a third. I think it's very good with some really gritty likeable characters, I'd highly recommend.

We stayed in Kyoto in 2016 shortly after Pokemon Go was launched and that landmark bridge (yes that bridge) was a pokestop so was always heaving with people concentrating on their phones

It's a fantastic country and I would love to visit again . I've enjoyed this series but cant help feel it's been heavily edited and a lot of stuff cut out

Defo the case, there were a number of montage clips at the beginning and end of each episode, showing all sorts of things that we didn't see in the programmes.

There isn't much that finds a screening that isn't heavily edited.

So, why not create one? wink

NowTV is effectively Sky so just call it the “Sky TV, what gems have you found?’ biggrin

I enjoyed it enough to watch a following series. Like most TV it’s pretry formulaic but the setting seems to work in terms of giving it interest.

New to this but came across Salyut 7. Outstanding cinema photography and of a historical moment I didn't know much about.
Watched this last night based on your recommendation. Really enjoyed it.

TBH I was surprised at how well made it was. Seems like it’s a Russian production.
Just watched this too. Thought it was fantastic. Well worth a watch.

I know it's been discussed before (and they're not making another series) - but really enjoying Lethal Weapon. Started the second series last night.
