Frost/Nixon. Frank Langella and Michael Sheen really 'become' the main protagonists. Thought it really good.
No car chases or explosions though...

Then that film. It was a notch above. I think it may be in my top 5 films, and certainly one I love rewatching.
I watched The Founder and then The Real Founder, about the rise of McDonalds.
Both very interesting. Certainly a good way to pass a flight. The first is a film based on a true story, the second is a 45min documentary with a lot of archive footage.

I've been watching Richard Hammond's Big, not bad. It's been free but now I have to pay! Bloody sick of this now, just get into something and then they whack a charge on!
this does annoy me - loads of stuff on AP and then when you look into it there's an extra cost involved (STARZ, various other channels are available for similar up-lifts)Speckle said:
I've really been enjoying Hunters. First episode didn't really grab me but, it seems to have improved since then. Up to Episode 5 now.
There are actually some decent looking shows on Starz. Next time I'm short of something to watch, I may take advantage of their 7 day free trial.
Watching episode 5 right now. Won’t spoil anything for anyone but one scene made me physically heave. There are actually some decent looking shows on Starz. Next time I'm short of something to watch, I may take advantage of their 7 day free trial.
I am sure someone has posted on here about this already, so apologies if that is the case.
Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell - having read the book (when it came out - 15 years ago!), this is absolutely brilliant. Great acting, plot speed, characters, costumes.
I, for one, would heartily recommend the folk who do the adaptations of the Terry Pratchett Disc World series, watch (and learn) from this.
Brilliant - the book and series are one and the same. So you don't lose if you don't watch/or read either, but it absolutely does no harm to indulge in both

Tried Midnight Special (film) on Saturday evening. Absolute garbage - turned it off with an hour still to go.
Gave it a second chance Sunday morning, but within 5 mins it was clear I'd done the right thing - won't be watching the rest.
Interesting, I thought it was pretty decent in a Stranger Things kinda way.Gave it a second chance Sunday morning, but within 5 mins it was clear I'd done the right thing - won't be watching the rest.
