I've just finished it all from the start. Loved it the whole way though.

My old man however said he didn't like Titus Welliver as Bosch.

I have a bit of an issue with McRae because of the circumstances surrounding his death and how he was flying like a cocktrumpet without accreditation. It wouldn't have bothered me so much if it had just been him, but he took some innocents with him too. Including children.

To quote the BBC: "Mr McRae, 39, his five-year-old son Johnny, the boy's six-year-old friend Ben Porcelli and Graeme Duncan, 37, all died when the aircraft came down near the McRae family home in Lanark on 15 September 2007 as they flew home from a trip to see a friend.
The inquiry had heard from Karen and Mark Porcelli, the parents of Ben, who said they did not give Mr McRae permission to take their son in the helicopter."

Sorry. Didn't mean to be a downer. It just kinda upsets me even now for some reason.

I know exactly what you mean. I feel the same way.

It’s like the Micheal Jackson effect. His music at the time was unbelievable, yet you don’t hear it on the radio anymore.

I agree. Everyone in his rally car were adults, were volunteers, were professionals, and they had a reason to take the risks they did.

The helicopter was an entirely different story.

He’s no longer a hero of mine.

Watched it purely for the cars and competition, agree there was no need to drive /fly the chopper like he drove his cars with others in there ,especially young children

I see Midway is out on Prime.

Having watched the trailer it looks like a criminally awful Hollywood POS given the subject matter, much like Pearl Harbour.

Am I right?

It gets a 6.7 on imdb so probably not truly terrible. I'll most likely give it a go.

Be careful though... imdb is mostly voted for by Americans ;0)

I agree with your old man. Bloke can't act. Ruins what should be a great show.

To give Midway its due its not quite as bad as Pearl Harbour - if nothing else the two leads don't win the war single-handedly and there are no love triangles.
Yet again Holywood special effects somehow manage to make the B-25 take-off for the Doolittle raid less dramatic than the real life footage.
The lack of any American fighters is also a bit strange, leaving the bombers to somehow shoot down hoards of Zeros.

Tales from the Loop.

Beautifully shot deep slightly dark sci-fi.

Only one in but it’s good. Can’t work out if each part is a continuation of the series or a standalone story revolving round the core tale.

Couple more tonight to make my mind up I think.

Even though The Professionals is (very!) dated I still like it. Some warm sensation of being a child and watching something so exciting.

They all tie in by the end.

Enjoyed 2 & 3.

Slow but I’m gonna stick with it.
