Anyone watched 'Jexi'?

San Franciscan gadget geek gets a new phone with a mind of its own determined to take over every aspect of his life. It's hilarious, one of the funniest Prime films we've discovered.
i liked it as well.

I thought it dreadful. It was "electric dreams" made worse and without the soundtrack

Here's another one that we really enjoyed and that most of you will therefore hate: 'On a Clear Day'.

It's utter, utter crap, IMO.

hehe
I couldn't agree more. biggrin

ETA Given our dubious taste in films perhaps I shouldn't mention two more that we've enjoyed:

'What we did on our holidays' and 'The Boys from County Clare'
I've seen Jexi, it's pants.

What we did on our holidays is one of my favourite British films of the recent years.

The Last Narc - investigation into kikis death.

Bit eye opening if true (wouldn't surprise me either)
I enjoyed Narcos and Narcos Mexico, but that....

If even some allegations are true ( wouldn't surprise me to!) then blimey, that's grim. It also paints a completely different picture to the Narcos Mexico series. Specifically the ending.

The Bureau

Now, I’m finding it riveting stuff. Just heading towards the end of S1.

I know that having to cope with a couple of different languages and some subtitles isn’t everyone’s idea of fun, but this is quite an engaging spy game with plenty of threads to keep the attention. There’s some nice slow reveals on the plot lines and the style is great with the right sort of pace - not particularly fast actioned - just to let you wander along with it. Probably a bit slow and predictable for some, but has a bit of chic about it!

I watched Family Business with Sean Connery, Dustin Hoffman and Matthew Broderick in.

I quite like a caper/heist film, and they are some heavyweight stars, but I didn't enjoy it, and can't recommend it.

My highlight was probably seeing Luis Guzmán in it. Or the instigator of the heist being called Jimmy Chui, probably unintentionally.

2 out of 5 fading but once bright stars.

Garnet's Gold - A docufilm on a self-confessed underachiever and his quest to find some Scottish hidden gold.

If you liked The World's Fastest Indian or The Lady in the Van, you might like this.

We've just finished S2, really enjoying it.

The French make some great drama. Spin was exceptional (Les hommes de l'ombre its French title). Can't remember which channel we got that through though hehe

You're be hard pushed to find a group of actors who look LESS like blood relatives than these three. What was the casting director thinking?

The Stranger - 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin... standard FBI agent loses memory type potboiler. Not offensively bad, but poor nonetheless.

Oh man, I don't think I've laughed so much at a film before. This one totally tickled my funny bone. The concept was brilliant to begin with but the actors absolutely ran with it.

Bit of a Stath-fest recently...

The Meg - a monster movie, totally implausible but terrific fun

The Mechanic - "inspired by" the old Charlie Bronson film of the same name. Good, stupid fun

Mechanic Resurrected - more of the same
