I save myself the time and just skip anything with Sacha Baron Cohen the in it. I just know it will be rubbish.
Haven’t seen it yet, but he’s one of the lead actors in the Netflix film Trial of the Chicago 7 which looks good.https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/13009930/borat-maski...

Hell on wheels.
Brutal.
Just finished season 4.Brutal.
Grim would be another word.
But very watchable with Chief O'Brien and Captain Pike in it.

Parasite - South Korean film, gets 8.6/10 on IMDB and deservedly so - wanted to watch this for ages, and finally got around to it tonight - brilliant film. Very well written and a few real surprises - Without giving away too much, a poor family manage to scam a very rich family into letting them work for them, after which things take an unexpected turn. Can’t say much more than that without giving too much away, but had me hooked - recommended.
i got half way and gave up, i guess it gets going after that, as it was pretty tedious. The Spruce Goose said:

I had to push myself to keep watching. A very overrated movie IMO.
I tried but lost interest again. Maybe I'm missing all the oscar winning stuff, but it is in the running for the most tedious film I've seen in the last 10 years award.Escapegoat said:

I started watching Bosch during lockdown and got through all six series pretty quickly. Series 7 is filming now and apparently it's set to be the last one just when I've got into it.
I often scroll through Amazon Prime struggling for something to watch but just occasionally there's something good I get into.
Really good series. Followed on from Justified, another great series.I often scroll through Amazon Prime struggling for something to watch but just occasionally there's something good I get into.
Next!
Bosch seems to touch on contemporary political issues without saying who's right or wrong and without very obviously trying to push a moral message and tell viewers what to think.
It keeps me wanting to watch the next episode, which a lot of stuff doesn't.
You could equally say all soaps or family saga or historical shows are the same, because they are written to the formula producers want.
I haven't read the Bosch books, but I read Michael Connelly's Lincoln Lawyer books a while ago.
Upload is something I've watched recently that's a bit different. I thought it might be a bit too weird at first, but I got into it.
It's about a world in the future where, when people are dying, they can have their consciousness uploaded into a virtual Heaven if someone is willing to keep paying their subscription. The main character ends up there after developing a free virtual Heaven and the story is about if he was deliberately killed and, if so, who killed him.

I'll give Upload a go. Plus the new (American) Utopia.
Just finished watching the original Ch4 version of Utopia which is also on Prime. Excellent and a real shame it was cancelled before series 3. The cinematography was fresh, and the writing was witty and not afraid to challenge conventions. I even liked the freaky soundtrack (and I'm an old fart). The Arby character was excellent and the gore was just on the comic-book side of "too gruesome".

I find this hard to believe. We thought it was absolutely superb!
Well it happened, it really isn't the great film people seem to make out, the story is as old as the hills, and slow and tedious. Yes there is modern message, but it could have been told in a much more interesting way. It is just one of those films that is hyped up but pretty st.i read is was a comedy as well, black comedy, well they should find something that is funny then.

I'm enjoying Truth Seekers, 4 episodes in. Getting Inside No.9 vibes, that said I am a Frost/Pegg fan
Two episodes in. I think it’s very light/easy going. The scary level is “Nando’s Peri-peri mild”. I’d give it a 6/10.
