Yeah... It hasn't improved from the last time I watched. I want to like this series but it doesn't move along quickly enough.

This was excellent, and different from the book in enough ways to be enjoyably original. Superb visuals, nicely dark presentation, and properly "adult" as per the source story.

I genuinely think you may be taking it way too seriously. It is not comparable with some of the other stuff on this thread, it is just a fun, silly but fairly well made and cast telly program. I generally sit back, enjoy the daft premise, the Leslie Phillips style jokes and laugh every time he gets away with saying 'wk' on TV. hehe

Possibly but there is some source material which tells a story which they are barely referencing.

I think of him more as Frankie Howerd, especially in the way he says "Ooh, detective". smile

I see The Americans Season 4 is now included with Prime, just in case anyone else got to the end of 3 recently and stopped when they asked for cash.
At last!

Im coming to the end of season 1. Thought we would give it a go and assumed it was not my thing. Bloody hell.. its absolutely brilliant clap

The production is superb and the suspense is perfectly done.

There are no characters that you find annoying.

Does anyone else keep seeing that silver Saab 900 in various shots ? ... getmecoat

Cool! My daughter loves My little Pony and as a result so do I! Some of the stories are very dark.

Finished "Patriot" last night.. I thought it was absolutely terrific.. darkly comic in a similar way to Breaking Bad.. again with an underlying melancholy to it. Some real laugh out loud moments. The female detective character is absolutely gorgeous and the soundtrack is great (also free to download on Prime Music). Hope Season 2 gets made.

I was particularly taken with the beautiful photography and the way each scene was so carefully set up.

Well spotted! I've been recording it on Sky and was waiting until I had all the episodes so that I could binge at my leisure. Watching on Amazon will be much better as there are no ads thumbup

I was browsing through trying to decide what to watch next and, randomly selected 'Good Girls Revolt'. I'm only three episodes in but, really enjoying it so far. I've had a quick look on imdb and it scores a very respectable 8.2.

We watched Sneaky Pete all the way through and enjoyed it. We're looking forward to season 2.
Ditto, we really enjoyed it. From a techie perspective it also looked great in 4K HDR.

So far we've watched in full, and REALLY enjoyed, Mr Robot, Sneaky Pete and Goliath.

And people moaned that The Grand Tour was less than they expected and therefore Amazon Prime had been a waste of money. smile

its worth trolling around some of the free movies because you will see why they are free . Some are so bad they are good and you find you end up with an aching jaw having spent 90 mins with your mouth wide open. I think Amazon is doing fine takes a bit of getting used to but you can find stuff to watch and Lucifer is a big favourite who wouldn't want a mother like that.

I haven't scrolled back to see if it's been mentioned but I just watched 2 seasons of something called Hap and Leonard. It's only 6 shows per season so it doesn't take long to through.

It's not exactly mentally taxing but it's a bit of silly fun, good performance from James Purefoy and Christina Hendricks. I actually found I enjoyed S2 more than S1.

To save anyone looking it up the description on IMDB http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3729898/?ref_=nv_sr_1
Set in the late 1980's, Hap and Leonard is a darkly comic swamp noir of two best friends, one femme fatale, a crew of washed up revolutionaries, a pair of murderous psycho killers, some lost loot, and the fuzz.

Just finished Flesh and Bone.

Story a little challenging in places, and characters a bit frustratingly dramatic at times, but the dancing is wonderful. A brilliant production, with real dancers who do a very good job at acting (as opposed to actors pretending to dance, which would have been a disaster).

And of course lots of lovely gratuitous nudity.

4/5
