I was a Prime member for a month. I have to say I was slightly shocked at the selection once you get past the glossy titles. There's stuff on there that barely deserves to be on youtube. It started to feel like one of those second rate Roku channels.

Yes, there is a lot of shocking crud, a sea of it in fact. In this regard, Netflix is slightly better, but Prime is cheaper, more so if you use the free delivery when buying stuff, which I do very often.

Being an Amazon Prime member since before they added Video, I still feel like I am paying for the free delivery and returns, and the video & music is just a nice bonus.

My thoughts exactly. (Although your returns aren't free any more, unless Amazon messed up.)
Netflix isn't perfect but Amazon just isn't a rival in any meaningful way - I watch as more films from normal terrestrial TV than I do Amazon.

Wait, when did that change?

Not sure, but when you give a return reason if you choose something that doesn't blame Amazon (such as you ordered the wrong item, or not longer want it) they'll charge you a delivery (well, collection) fee.

If you blame Amazon for whatever the return reason (wrong item sent etc) the returns are still free.

Yes, that's true. Although "Incompatible or not useful for intended purpose" generally gets you the free return.

I haven't scrolled back to see if it's been mentioned but I just watched 2 seasons of something called Hap and Leonard. It's only 6 shows per season so it doesn't take long to through.

It's not exactly mentally taxing but it's a bit of silly fun, good performance from James Purefoy and Christina Hendricks. I actually found I enjoyed S2 more than S1.

To save anyone looking it up the description on IMDB http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3729898/?ref_=nv_sr_1
Set in the late 1980's, Hap and Leonard is a darkly comic swamp noir of two best friends, one femme fatale, a crew of washed up revolutionaries, a pair of murderous psycho killers, some lost loot, and the fuzz.
FYI, the books are excellent. thumbup
Watched the first episode last night - enjoyable and we'll be sticking with it. I like Leonard, properly grumpy.

Really enjoyed it, has potential to be a good series.
I'm watching. I don't know what I'm fking watching, but I'm watching nonetheless.
We started watching that last night.

Nope, absolutely no bloody idea what it is about, it's a 12 out of 10 on the weirdness scale for me, sorry.

Just finished the two series of The Bureau, it's a French spy series. I thought it was one of the best things I've watched, certainly the best thing on Amazon.

Just noticed that He'll Or High Water is on there and it's free, even though it was only out last year. It's a great film.

I finished season 3 of Bosch earlier. I'm a huge fan of this show and am looking forward to how it progresses as a lot wasn't tied off.

We sampled American Gods not knowing what to expect. I'm glad we did, not only is it utterly unpredictable, but the effects are superb and it's worth watching just for the lighting and photography. On the highest level of TV as far as I am concerned.

Just sat and watched the first three episodes with my wife.
Absolutely loved it, unsurprisingly it reminded me, at least stylistically, of Preacher.

Spotted John Wick is currently up as an inclusive film. Still worth a watch.
