Is there anything on Netflix like Jack Ryan, Reacher, Night Agent, Night Manager etc?

Not in to gangs/drugs, but love spy stuff and political/financial thrillers.
Probably better to ask on the Netflix thread

We've just started a series called Gray, about an ex spy chief brought back in from being on the run to find a mole. It's a little slow going but we're enjoying it so far.

Just had a look at the list (thank you). Nice to see Jiro Dreams Of Sushi on there. I went to the local arts cinema to watch that years ago. A great insight into the working of a suchi master.

So Amazon has ads now even if you pay for prime?

Bit of a pisser. I can't see it lasting much longer in this house then! Not into paying to watch adverts.

Just started watching Billy the Kid. Slow starter but building up well. So far 6.5/10

ive canceled prime, but am at g/f house for a few days, and have found a series called fallout, its brilliant, violent funny.and a bit gory, well worth a watch, first episode is setting the scene, but worth sticking with it.

I'm only 30 minutes in and it's superb only issue is the shape of the bottles at the party!

You may wish to know that it is based on a series of computer games and is heavily steeped in the lore of them, and full of Easter Eggs for them.

I am so glad that you are enjoying it though, as it shows they have managed to appeal to not just gamers.

We have a whole thread on it here:

Black Lotus - a poor attempt at an action flick,4/10 at best. It's not actually bad per see, it's just not very good (and, truth be told, a little slow/dull)

If you played the game it’s much more fun as they have captured the feel of it so well, you spend a lot of the time spotting items recreated directly from the game.

Fallout 9.5/10 if not 10/10!!!

A cross between Westworld, The Walking Dead, Lost and Pacific Rim! and yes I am aware it is based on a computer game

Is it really that good? Being based on a game always raises a big red flag for me, however, I did enjoy ‘The Last of Us’.

Only 1st episode in for me but as a big fan of the games the set design and props are amazingly good. The music is also superb.

It's in the universe but not based on the game as such but does feature megaton etc

Same here, never heard of Fallout the game (I'm an old git and Defender was the coolest game when I was young!).

I've seen the first two episodes and really enjoying it, missing all the gamer references though.

I've not tried Fallout, mainly because I'm not a huge fan of apocalyptic zombie stuff.

Presume it's not really one for me?

It’s post apocalyptic, but it’s not a zombie / horror based thing. If you like sci-fi, it’s probably for you.

just finished it and, yes it's enjoyable (looks lovely) suitably bleak - I can't help thinking, though, that on balance I enjoyed Twisted Metal (Paramount) more. I'll accept that TM isn't as well made, as well fleshed out, certainly not as expensive looking - however, it just seemed more fun (which is maybe the point?)
