He's probably bored of seeing Ryan Gosling flouncing around it on TV biggrin

After you've built, there are always ideas for what you could do next time smile
Ryan Reynolds in the BT advert? Thought I'd seen it somewhere before.
So he rents his house out for adverts and is selling it for lots of money.
Almost could indicate he couldn't afford it really in the first place.

The Straw Bale Eco Home and the Artists Barn Conversation I would put rock bottom. The latter had no interior apart from some screens and the artists work.

Always like watching the really old Grand Designs episodes from 1999/2000, some have aged terribly with glass bricks and blocked colour panels and some still stand up nicely in 2017.

No builder will touch if so we're doing it ourselves...

Looking forward to seeing how fecund Kevin is in this series.

I'm always impressed at people with no experience taking on the PM/Main Contractor role.

The closeness to the road, in what looks like a nasty corner, would be my mine concern.

Watching with morbid fascination. There's a wonderful bye law that dictates no granite can be excavated from the hills. It's a big no-no, hence why all the contractors ran a mile.

I wish they'd show a bit more of the area, so I can pinpoint where it is. Earlier in the show they said 'near the golf course' and it's nowhere near the golf course.

Top location though. I am a little biased wink

Will they be naming the house 'Cliff View'?

Those tiny windows for the best view. Eagduru does mean eye-hole but perhaps they got the old English mixed up with earsþerl, which means ahole.

Well he may still have gone ahead had he known, but at least he could have set aside the funds.

He looks totally beaten. Wonder if he's resenting his wife for taking him away from a great life in NZ?
