Brilliant stuff.

It did leave a lot of unanswered questions though (as I knew it would) and seemed to be still foreshadowing stuff even in the last episode. They have to do more...surely?

The whole story about the medic dogs just didn't go anywhere.

Was it to be faithful to the books?
If they knew this would be the last season - before being canned - it seemed irrelevant.

Watched the final season really enjoyed it. Is there a book that carries on where the show finished? Will the book make sense jumping from show to book. Not read any of the expanse books yet..

Yes, 3 more books + 5 novellas. You could start on book 7, but I would recommend reading from the beginning. The show was incredibly faithful to the book storyline, but they couldn't cover everything and the books go into much more depth. If you can, also make sure you read the novellas at the correct points between the books.

Which is why it feels like they have some sort of plan to continue at some point, people deserve to find out what Laconia are up to and what happens next with the Roci.

There are also short films attached to each ep but hidden in amazon xray. I would rather they had put the screen time from those and the hysterical family stuff into the main story.

Definitely was a good finale. Not that bothered if it continues eventually or not, it was still a very good watch.

Bobbie's threat display showed that the weapon being pointed at her was a BFG9001, clearly a nod to Doom.

Not a fantastic episode. Not poor, but the battle scene I didn't think was great, just the usual soldier heroics. Also, for some reason the CGI was pretty poor in the final scenes as well (the containers, the flying marines), not up to their usual standard.

Season has been ok and i'm sad to see it end, but it's not had the feeling of scale of some of the earlier seasons. It's kinda petered out over it's run ...

I've just put these two pictures up in my office as I've been meaning to make it a more interesting place to be smile

Two of my favourite TV spaceships. I've not been able to find a decent one of Galactica.

Yes I agree not sure where it was going...

Space battles were fantastic, although the last 5 min seemed rushed.

Enjoyed the whole series, personally 1&2 are my favourite. Hopefully they will make more...2 books left

The Laconia stuff is apparently leading into the next 3 books which may or may not ever see a TV adaptation. TBH I was a lot more interested in the 'Gritty Solar System politics' intrigue than an 'ancient powerful aliens' storyline. I would not have worried if they had ignored all the Laconia/Ilus stuff and just concentrated on the Belter insurrection (and maybe shown more on Earth pre/post attack).

I thought it was a good finale but maybe could be have been a little more clear and the battles weren't quite as epic as I thought they'd be, given the high standard of space combat they had shown in the past.

Overall though, excellent and I will be buying the Blu Ray boxset when it comes out. (Would have loved to see Filip meet his mother again but it's clear they will meet up). Very sad that they ditched Alex Kamal for PC reasons.

I thought that was pretty good actually, as finale's go - although the pace of the final episode did make me feel like they'd been dragging their heels a little with the earlier S6 episodes.

Off to try and find a box set of the books now. hehe
yes Best Sci Fi I've watched in years and managed to wrap it up in a satisfying way. Kept me guessing to the end and the Laconia bits left something to ponder whilst not leaving a cliff hanger. A far neater final series than B5 which faced an uphill struggle to stay on TV. I can't really fault it. I'm just glad I got to see it.
