Robert Kennedy, Jr is up. Should be interesting.
Absolute lunatic.
Is he basically Connor Roy from Succession?
Not sure, I haven't seen that show yet, although I've heard it's brilliant.
Connor is rather dumb and totally deluded. But since he’s very rich and the scion of a powerful dynasty, he has a very inflated sense of his own importance and capabilities.

Not enjoyed any since #1996, swapped to 2 Bears,1 Cave again instead. I'm assuming #2000 will be a riot, hoping it's Joey Diaz and a few others

Went for a walk at lunchtime and thought I'd throw one of these on. Nothing really that took my interest. I saw a recent Mike Tyson one but he's already been on loads of times.

Ice Cube.

Can't wait to listen to this tomorrow. He was on my top list of guests I'd like to hear.

I listened to #2013 Paul Rosolie today.
He's been spending a long time in the Amazon and explains the anacondas, the uncontacted tribes and more.
Genuinely fascinating, one of the best for a long time.

Was amazing! Genuinely didn't know there were so many uncontacted groups.

Some good ones recently. Reggie Watts has a good helping of car content. Currently listening to Coleman Hughes who comes across as very knowledgeable, calm and pragmatic.

Jimmy Carr was a disappointment being neither funny nor insightful.

Agree completely, what a let down Jimmy Carr was. All of the comedians are the same.. all self congratulatory, mutual back slapping lazy guests who are all just appearing at his club in Austin.

Some decent ones recently but I agree with the above, I don't bother with the comedians.
The wrestlers have been good listening though!

Found him good on both JBP Podcast (from quite a while ago) and also the recent Modern Wisdom (Chris Williamson) podcast.

When it was a free feed and queued up in my podcast app, I would always just immediately prune out the comedian interviews unless it was someone genuinely interesting like Bill Burr or Jimmy Dore. Those discussions were all as you say, just self-congratulatory dross about how stand-up comedy is the most noble pursuit etc. Usually very little of interest in there for non-comedians. I think he does them to keep in the good graces of the comedy world.

It's much better when he has an expert/experienced person in specific subject matter in, to talk about that subject (which often meanders off, that's fine).

Has there been any news on the recent shows about when Hancock is back on for his debate?

Is it just Graham chatting his usual crap or is this the one with the debate with an archaeologist?

Sadly just him. Rogan is, as always, completely captivated and Jamie seems totally uninterested biggrin

Damn. I cant be listening him going for 3 hours anymore. Was hoping it was the debate one, he is supposed to be having a debate on the JRE against an actual archaeologist, I think called Flint Dibble (brilliant hehe ).That was supposed to be happening in Oct. Maybe this one is just a warm up to get everyone primed in Hancock's favour.

I've just done 30 minutes and switched off. More down to Joe's unwavering belief in everything he's told. I'd love the debate to happen but don't think it will

Any debate would be a waste of time. Hancock is an entertainer and showman. Unless there is an equally skilled archaeologist, then it would likely be fuel for Hancock’s ego.

The only way I could see it being an equal debate in this context of entertainment, would be if actual Indiana jones showed up to argue Hancock down.

Of course, maybe there is a skilled entertaining expert . But 3 hours of Hancock talking over, shouting and throwing in unrelated or unsubstantiated gotchas, against an unskilled but knowledgeable opponent is only going one way.

Quite possibly, that is a bit hot it went last time when his opponent was well out of his depth. The guy wo was supposed to be debating him this time has spent plenty of time debunking Hancock and is well versed in debates etc so would hopefully do a good showing. I have just seen from comments on Youtube the debate has been rescheduled to possibly April 2024 as Flint is undergoing treatment for cancer at the moment frown
